Baldwin County is a county located in the southwestern part of the U.S. state of Alabama, on the Gulf coast. As of the 2020 census, the population was 231,767. The county seat is Bay Minette. The county is named in honor of Senator Abraham Baldwin, though he never lived in what is now Alabama.

Baldwin was Alabama's fastest growing county from 2010 to 2020, with 4 of the top 10 fastest growing cities in the state in recent years.

The U.S. federal government designates Baldwin County as the Daphne-Fairhope-Foley, AL Metropolitan Statistical Area.

It is the largest county in Alabama by area and is located on the eastern side of Mobile Bay. Part of its western border with Mobile County is formed by the Spanish River, a brackish distributary river.

Daphne (/ˈdæfniː/) is a city in Baldwin County, Alabama, United States, on the eastern shoreline of Mobile Bay. The city is located along I-10, 11 miles east of Mobile and 170 miles southwest of the state capital of Montgomery. USA Hotel Tour: The Admiral Hotel in Downtown Mobile, Alabama Theater District

In this episode of our USA travel vlog we do a USA hotel tour of The Admiral, a Wyndham Hotel in downtown Mobile, Alabama for an Alabama hotel tour. The Admiral is located in Mobile at 251 Government Street which is about 2 hours and 142 miles from the New Orleans French Quarter. This is one of the best Mobile, AL hotels and a lot of history has been made at this location. This art deco hotel originally opened in 1940 as the Admiral Semmes Hotel and was the first hotel in Mobile to provide air conditioning and telephones in every guest room. This hotel’s location in the Mobile theater district is also near the center of Mobile’s nightlife on Dauphin Street which is a more calm version of New Orleans Bourbon Street. The Admiral is 12 stories high with 156 standard guest rooms and 5 luxury multi-room suites on the top floor. The hotel has two restaurants, a fitness center, eight event areas including a ballroom and an outdoor pool.
