Ep9|S1| The Garden of Eden in Zimbabwe☺️| La Rochelle Botanic Garden, Mutare| Zimbabwe Vlog|

All you need to know about La Rochelle Centre & Botanical Gardens (which is another Zimbabwe travel destination in Penhalonga, near Mutare Manicaland/Easternhighlands) is shared in this vlog by a Zimbabwean Travel Youtuber.

Plants are what made me fall in love with nature & that is thanks to my mum. Every step, every turn in this garden kept on reminding me of my childhood & my mother. In my opinion, La Rochelle Botanical Garden is by far the most beautiful garden we have here in Zimbabwe that is open to the public. You will see just how picturesque it is. Walking around & hearing nothing but just birds chirping & singing is beyond magical. Many activities are offered there including boating, swimming, among others... 😊 I hope you enjoy the tour!

Umfurudzi National Park, Zimbabwe

This Easter we headed out to Umfurudzi Park for a long weekend of adventure and wonderment. In an attempt to gain a respite from the heat we sought out sources of water at any opportunity. The video we've put together is a tribute to the amazing environments we came across in our time there.

Established in 1981,the park covers an area of 76000 ha (760 square km) of incredible natural beauty and bio diversity. For more information on the park be sure to see:

Zimbabwe - Bvuma Mountains

The Bvumba Mountains, about 10 km south of Mutare, straddle the Zimbabwe-Mozambique border rising to 1,911 metres. They are referred to as the Mountains of the Mist as often the early morning starts with a mist which clears by mid-morning.

The mountains extend north-eastward to Mount Vumba in Mozambique. They are capped by cool, green hills which shelter a Beautiful Botanical Garden.

We visited Zimbabwe on our overland trip from the Netherlands to South Africa and South America; see our channel for hundreds of clips.

Ep10|S1| We Are on the Verge of Losing this Gem😓| Small Bridge Dam, Mutare Zimbabwe| Zimbabwe Vlog|

All you need to know about Small Bridge Dam (which is another Zimbabwe travel destination in Penhalonga, near Mutare Manicaland/Easternhighlands) is shared in this vlog by a Zimbabwean Travel Youtuber.

When I learnt about mercury & cyanide now being detected in this waterbody & the other surrounding ones I was gut wrenched. I thought of all the fish & how people loved to swim in this clear, spectacular waterbody & immediately I knew I had to visit it without fail. Its serene beauty deserves to be known & you deserve to experience it too hopefully before it is just another hazardous site to stay away from. The last time I checked EMA was promising to do something about the illegal mining which is the cause of the mercury & cyanide deposits. So hopefully my biggest fear is not going to become a reality for this gem... ...& I also hope that you enjoy this video of my visit there highlighting its beauty :).

Best places to visit in Zimbabwe

Tour Zimbabwe – Part 2

Best places to visit in Zimbabwe

Harare City
Harare City is the Capital of Zimbabwe

Victoria Falls
This is a must see tourist attraction in Zimbabwe. Most people visit the falls between July and August when the weather is dry and less misty.

River Zambezi
The Zambezi (also spelled Zambeze and Zambesi) is the fourth-longest river in Africa, the longest east-flowing river in Africa and the largest flowing into the Indian Ocean from Africa. The area of its basin is 1,390,000 square kilometres (540,000 sq mi), slightly less than half of the Nile's. The 2,574-kilometre long river (1,599 mi) rises in Zambia and flows through eastern Angola, along the eastern border of Namibia and the northern border of Botswana, then along the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe to Mozambique, where it crosses the country to empty into the Indian Ocean.

Chinhoyi Caves
The Chinhoyi Caves (previously the Sinoia Caves) are a group of limestone and dolomite caves in north central Zimbabwe. Since 1955 they are designated as a National Park and managed by the Zimbabwe Parks & Wildlife Management Authority.

Bulawayo city
After Harare, Bulawayo is the second most visited town in Zimbabwe. You may also consider visiting Railway museum around the town to enjoy the view of a passenger coach used in 1904.

Mutare town
In this town you’ll have the art gallery and the Mzilikazi art and craft center to gaze. You can visit the Rhodes museum, the Aloe garden in the main park as well as the Vumba gardens. Then you can enjoy a wildlife view at the Chimanimani national park, Thompson Vlei and the Cecil Kop Nature reserve.

The Great Zimbabwe Ruins
It offers an impressive set of ancient stone complexes that are believed to have been built between the 13th and the 15th centuries during the existence of Munumatapa Kingdom.

PICNIC AT MANNA RESORT. TOP PLACES TO VISIT IN HARARE ZIMBABWE

Lion Park, Harare: Tourist Attractions in Zimbabwe

Mazowe in Zimbabwe, Grace Mugabe's farm, tourism, travel,

Grace Mugabe developed the farm while her husband was president
Illegal workers have invaded the farm of former Zimbabwean first lady Grace Mugabe to mine for gold.
Reporters from the Zimbabwean newspaper Newsday found them uprooting lemon trees, digging shafts and loading gold ore into lorries.
After unsuccessfully confronting them on Thursday, Mrs Mugabe reported the matter to the police.
The farm is in Mazowe, where she had forcefully evicted villagers in 2015 - while her husband was still in power.

Mugabe and me
Mrs Mugabe said in a statement to the police obtained by the New Zimbabwe website that she was touring the farm when she was shocked to find approximately 400 men illegally panning for gold.
When she confronted them at the farm, some 40km (25 miles) north of Harare, she said they started to shout obscenities at me and continued with their unlawful activities.
Newsday reports that one worker shouted at her:
You no longer have any power to remove us. This is the new dispensation, we do what we want.
Last year Mrs Mugabe was widely reported to be preparing to replace her aging husband as president of Zimbabwe.
But the rumours were not welcomed by parts of the ruling party and he was ousted from office in November, to be replaced by his long-time ally Emmerson Mnangagwa.
Presentational grey line
The life of Grace Mugabe
Began affair with Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe, 41 years her senior, while working as a typist in state house
Mr Mugabe was still married to his first wife, Sally, who was terminally ill at the time
Married Mr Mugabe, her second husband, in 1996 in an extravagant ceremony
They have three children - Bona, Robert and Chatunga
Nicknamed Gucci Grace by her critics who accuse her of lavish spending
Named head of Zanu-PF women's league in 2014
Rumoured to be lining herself up to take over from her husband as president of Zimbabwe
Those rumours were followed by Mr Mugabe being ousted from power after 37 years.

Jozef Behr : National Herbarium and Botanic Garden in Zimbabwe

Makuti to Mana Pools, Zimbabwe. Travel guide.

At the town of Makuti, situated high on Zambezi Escarpment, you need to fill up your tanks as there are no petrol or diesel available in Mana Pools National Park.
Self Drive Do it Yourself Zimbabwe.
This is also a good time to do some last minute shopping or to enjoy an ice-cold beer at the hotel.
16 Km from Makuti on your way to Zambia you will reach the National Parks office situated at Marongora.
All visitors to the Zambezi Valley must obtain an entry permit here.
You won't be allowed into the reserve without it.
The view onto the Zambezi Valley from the top of the escarpment is magnificent and on a clear day you can see forever.
Descending the winding pass to the foot of the escarpment you reach the turnoff to Mana Pools 16 km from Marongora where you obtained your permit.
Turn right onto the gravel road.
The distance to Nyamepi Camp and the reception office is 72 km and could take up to 2 hours to reach.
Although most types of vehicles can negotiate most of the roads in the park, care should be taken especially at the sandy river crossings.
The 220 000 ha Mana pools National Park lies in the north of Zimbabwe between the Rukomechi and Sapi rivers.
The Zambezi River forms the northern boundary and the Zambezi Escarpment the southern.
Huge herds of elephant and buffalo occur in the park and lion, waterbuck, zebra and impala are plentiful.
Nearly 400 species of bird have been recorded in the area.
Open in the dry months from May to October Mana Pools is one of the most untamed areas of the country and tourist is still allowed to walk away from his vehicle through tall open forest of mahogany and acacia.
Elephant and lion are common residents so walkers need to be alert.
The Zambezi valley is one of the low-lying areas of the country with very high temperatures in the summer.
The best times to visit are the late winter or spring months when the temperatures are milder.
During the dry winter months the animals concentrate round the waterholes and the banks of the Zambezi. The veld is dry and brown with little or no grass.
When the rains comes, normally in early November, the land is suddenly transformed into a green haven.
The floodplains become carpeted with lush green grass. The whole area resembles an enormous park.
During this time the large pools along the banks of the river, which give the area its name, fills up from the heavy rains.
