Bang Saphan Food Tour | Seafood in Thailand | Jan Tom Yam

My food tour video of our trip to Bang Saphan, a small, quiet town in the Gulf of Thailand 200 km south of Hua Hin. So we start with coffee, fries and ice cream, a perfect breakfast/lunch if you ask me. After that we explore the Bang Saphan seafood scene: gaeng som goong (shrimp), sea snails, baked big shrimps, seafood salad.

Bang Saphan Noi บางสะพานน้อย is the southernmost district of Prachuap Khiri Khan province, central Thailand.

The name Bang Saphan Noi originates from the time of the building of the southern railway. The workers had to build two bridges north and south of the railway station which later became the center of the district. As this was the same structure as for the Bang Saphan railway station further north, they thus named the railway station Bang Saphan Noi ('small bridge village'), and subsequently the railway station of Bang Saphan was named Bang Saphan Yai ('big bridge village').

The area of Bang Saphan and Bang Saphan Noi are still off the tourist path so if you are looking for a quite beach experience this would be a good option for you. The beaches are nice, accommodations are inexpensive and their are many things to do in addition to the beaches.
