Iraq until recently has only been in the news due to wars being waged on its soil but I’ve travelled as part of a group to visit the historic and holy shrines located in this ancient land. I went with the excellent Toronto Ziyarat Group have been taking pilgrims from North America for many years. I would highly recommend them if you're looking to visit the holy sites in Iraq.

Today, we are heading to Al Balad, the historical area of Jeddah and the second largest city of Saudi Arabia! Saudi Hospitality is wild because we were just asking for directions to a specific cafe, and we met the lovelist guy training to be a tour guide... he then spent the next few hours with us exploring and even helped Matt with a football shirt! We didn't expect this at all!
