Eine Sommerrodelbahn in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern nahe der Ostsee? Ja, in Bad Doberan gibt es eine Rodelbahn. Mit einer Gesamtlänge von 721 m und einer Abfahrt von 521 m sowie einem Höhenunterschied von 40 m rauschst du mit einem Kribbeln im Bauch ins Tal der Stülower Berge am Stadtrand von Bad Doberan.
Als ich am vergangenen Wochenende in Rostock gewesen bin, war es dann endlich soweit: Am Nachmittag ging es für mich in das rund 10km entfernte Bad Doberan. Ziel war die Sommerrodelbahn.
Neben dem Doberaner Münster, der Bäderbahn Molli und Heiligendamm, Deutschlands ältestem Seebadeort, zählt die Doberaner Sommerrodelbahn auf jeden Fall auch zu einem der Highlights der Stadt und bietet einmaligen Fahrspaß für die ganze Familie.
Nahezu ganzjährig und auch bei Regen kannst du die Sommerrodelbahn in Bad Doberan besuchen und den Berg hinab rodeln. Allerdings macht es etwas mehr Spaß, wenn es nicht regnet. Von meinen 6 Fahrten mit der Doberaner Sommerrodelbahn hatte es bei der letzten Fahrt angefangen zu regnen. Die Fahrt mit dem Schlitten den Berg hinab bei leichtem Regen war ok, aber ich war froh, dass keine Fahrten mehr übrig waren.
Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt bei der Sommerrodelbahn. Vor allem, wenn du dich für Mehrfachfahrkarten entscheidest. Je mehr Fahrten du kaufst, desto günstiger wird jede Einzelfahrt. Erwachsene zahlen beispielsweise 12,- € für 6 Fahrten und 35,- € für 20 Fahrten.

Bad Doberan is situated just 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) west of Rostock's city centre and is therefore part of one of the most developed regions in the north-eastern part of Germany. The town nestles between beautiful beech tree forests just 6 km from the Baltic Sea and is one of the earliest German settlements in Mecklenburg. Today the town is a very popular bathing resort, thanks to Heiligendamm, a district of Bad Doberan situated directly at the cliff line of the Baltic. Historically, Doberan used to be the summer residence for the Mecklenburg Dukes who resided in Schwerin, and for their entourage.

Wir starten in Stralsund der alten Hansestadt an der Ostsee. Beeindruckend ist hier das aus Backsteinen errichtete Rathaus und die Kirche daneben. Auch der Hafen sollte unbedingt besucht werden.
Auch Rostock ist eine alte Hansestadt an der Warnow. Rostock und Warnemünde sind sehr bekannte und beliebte Ziele an der Ostseeküste. In Rostock findet man sehr viele Gebäude der Backsteingotik in Norddeutschland.
Bad Dobern ist vor allem für sein gotisches Münster bekannt. Börgerende ist ein sehr ruhiger Urlaubsort, direkt am Meer.
Heiligendamm ist das älteste Seebad auf dem Kontinent. Heiligendamm wir die weisse Stadt am Meer genannt. Bekannt für seine Gebäude aus dem 19. Jahrhundert.
Kühlungsborn hat eine sehr lange Strandprommenade.

In Hamburg you can also find 2 museum ships: Cap San Diego - the 159-metres-long vessel which is said to be the largest seaworthy museum ship in the world and Rickmer Rickmers, the most beautiful ship in the harbour. It used to sail the 7 seas for almost 90 years.

Wandern an der Ostsee - Von Kühlungsborn nach Bad Doberan(2018, 4k)
Mit der Molli geht von Bad Doberan zum Ostbahnhof in Kühlungsborn wo die Wanderung startet und direkt zum Promenadensteg an der Ostsee führt. Danach geht es auf der Promenade zum Yachthafen und dann auf den Rad- und Wanderweg oberhalb der Strände entland zum Sanddornstrand(auch Haltestelle der Mollibahn). Von dort weiter und auf den Wanderweg E9 durch den Küstenwald zum Strand vor Heiligendamm und weiter zum Promenadensteg. Dann entlang des mehr als 6 km langen Sandstrandes zum Parkplatz P3. Von dort und über das Jagdhaus zur Rennbahn und weiter auf die 1,8 km lange Lindenallee nach Bad Doberan. Am Ehm-Welk-Haus vorbei zum kleinen Kurpark mit seinen zwei Pavillons. Von dort vorbei am alten Gymnasium und der alten Post zum Bahnhof der Mollibahn. Die Wanderung dieser reizvollen Strecke an der Ostseeküste entland ist ca. 18 km lang und dauerte ca, 4 Std.. Dabei kann man mehrmals die Dampflok der Mollibahn bewundern, die schnaubend und rauchend nach oder von Kühlungsborn unterwegs ist.
