Beaches of the Costa Vicentina, Algarve west coast
When you think of a beach or seaside holiday in the Algarve, you immediately see in your mind the picturesque bays with their typical rock formations, caves and grottos, which are visited by masses of people in the summer months.
However, those who prefer deserted beaches and wild nature to the crowded beaches of the western Algarve will find a wonderfully beautiful natural paradise with natural beaches and magnificent dunes in the south-west of the Algarve in the nature reserve of Costa Vicentina. The barren and rough coastal landscape between Sagres and Odeceixe, especially, is dotted with steep cliffs and headlands, from which one can get an incomparable view down into bays and across endless sandy beaches. Often, the narrow paths from the main roads to the beaches meander endlessly through the countryside towards the sea, until they suddenly provide you with views of a beautiful coast.
Between Carrapateira and Aljezur lies the small fishing village of Arrifana with its beautiful beach, Praia do Arrifana, which is situated in a shell-shaped bay. The beach is narrow, no more than 700 metres, and is protected by imposing black slate rocks. From the northern tip of the beach, you have a panoramic view of the ruins of the fortress of Arrifana..
At the northern end of the beach, next to the fishing port, there are good conditions for diving. The beach is also popular with surfers and bodyboarders. However, the Praia do Arrifana is classified as a beach with limited use, because due to the high rock walls at the back there is danger of falling rocks.

4K Travel Guide to Azenhas do Mar
Azenhas do Mar
Luring in travelers from around the world, there are certain countries that are known for their collection of picturesque towns. In this video, I am going to present one of the beautiful seaside towns called Azenhas do Mar, Azenhas do Mar is a seaside town in the municipality of Sintra, Portugal. It is part of Colares civil parish.
Azenhas do Mar means Watermills of the Sea and the name derives from a once-powerful stream that moved the watermills as it made its way to the sea. The Mediterranean-looking village is a literal cliffhanger, with white houses tumbling down to the Atlantic, creating a picturesque scenery that inspired painters and graced postcards in the mid-20th century.
At that time, wealthy families from Lisbon and Sintra also decided that the stunning location was perfect for their summer homes, which you’ll see outside the main cluster of houses. Some of them were even designed by Portugal’s leading architects, who attempted to create an authentic “Portuguese Style,” which included the traditional blue-and-white tile panels on the façades. Most of the houses, however, were originally the homes of a fishing community, built close together at the top of the cliff, creating a maze of streets and patios overlooking the coast. Steps at the bottom of the cliff lead down to a small approximately 30-meter wide beach, faced by a popular restaurant. How much space you have to spread your towel depends on the tides (at high tide the beach often disappears), and there’s also a platform meant to trap the seawater and create a pool.

On this episode, I dragged myself out of my campsite to a place called Azenhas do Mar. The spot is amazing. Absolutely beautiful. But it's also one of those places that is incredibly photogenic for one or two shots, and not much more.
I was feeling pretty apathetic about going outside this morning. I've been travelling pretty hard of late, and I'm getting a bit burnt out again. But, I powered through and am so glad I made my way to Azenhas do Mar. I had a great dinner overlooking the sea, then went back up to the view point for sunset. I also managed to shoot some drone footage of Azenhas do Mar which came out pretty cool.
I've got a little bit more from Portugal, so stay tuned to the vlog!
🇵🇹 Guadiana....Azenhas – Mértola...4K...Aerial view
Azenhas do Guadiana ......
The Azenhas do Guadiana in Mértola, are made up of two watermills and three reel mills (15th century), distributed along the weir, seven streams of water that cut the Guadiana River and have used the river currents from the north for centuries and transform the cereal in flour for the inhabitants of Mértola and its surroundings.
After losing their function which was the flour milling, these became a place of leisure, being the last point of the Guadiana to suffer the influence of the tide.
At low tide it is possible to walk from the windmill on the right bank to the one located in the middle of the river, only the one on the left bank remains isolated, being accessed by the surrounding hills. Azenhas de Mértola has an environment of great scenic beauty and is currently an important leisure area that, in the heat of summer, is a meeting point.
Since that time, the solution has been the placement of signs to alert the regulars on the banks of the river to the danger of bathing. This area is not for bathing, but for leisure. On site there are benches, wooden tables and garbage bags from the municipality, which ensures the cleanliness of the area.
Azenhas do Guadiana......

Neva, pár kroků a jsme nahoře.
Trasu pobřežní stezky Rota Vicentina ( jsme odstartovaly v Lagosu a zakončily v Sines. Další dny jsme si užívaly města Lisabon.
⛺ Každou noc jsme uléhaly na jiném místě a vytahovaly své deníky, abychom si zaznamenaly naše prožitky. A o ty se zde s vámi chci podělit. a na youtube.
Paradise Beach in Portugal: Azenhas do Mar - Winter Virtual Tour - Atlantic Ocean [4K 60fps] ASMR
Hey there! 😊 If you like this video, please consider subscribing 😊🔔
Azenhas do Mar is known for its traditional layered houses, close together on top of a cliff, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, in the west coast of Portugal. On this late March afternoon, the sun was occasionally shining through a thick cloak of clouds - Portugal had been affected by dust winds blowing from North Africa, resulting in some very interesting colours during sunset. The perfect conditions for this winter walk. We start outside the village of Azenhas do Mar, and go down its narrow streets, enjoying beautiful vistas over the Atlantic Ocean. As this was recorded during lockdown, there was practically no one around - and this is a very intense touristic area, especially during summer. I take you to a stunning viewing point over the ocean, and wander through the villages streets. We end our walk at the beach, enjoying nice ocean and river sounds, and a gorgeous sunset through the unusual deep fiery clouds.
Sit back, relax and enjoy this 4K winter walk through one of Portugal's wonders, visiting this traditional deserted village, meeting dogs and cats along the way, and relaxing by the Atlantic Ocean, in a walk by the village beach.
As usual at Zen Walks, this was recorded in 3D audio, allowing for a spectacular ASMR soundscape, featuring sounds of footsteps, traffic, birds and wind. A perfect atmosphere for relaxation, study or even sleep. Use your headphones for a deep immersive experience 🎧 😊

Now it's the time we put in some keywords such as Ocean Walk, Atlantic Ocean, dog videos, cat videos, virtual tour or the best virtual tours, that are part of the description of this video. This relaxing trail video is perfect for treadmill, but also perfect for relaxation and sleep. In fact, if you're on a treadmill, you may enjoy a relaxing feeling at the same time, although it's not desirable that a treadmill trail video can cause a deep sleep state by listening to the ASMR audio. The footsteps, in asmr, will be around you in 360, creating a very deep immersive experience. It's pure ASMR 3D audio, and the video is in 4K and filmed at 60fps, or 60 frames per second. The relaxing walking pace makes this treadmill video a relaxing experience, almost like a meditation. A good virtual treadmill walk is great for virtual walking exercise.
