The Muttal Village is situated about 15km away from Attur in the Attur-Mullaivadi road, the waterfalls situated in the spot called Aaniavari in the Forest area about 3km away from the village. The heavy flow of water in the Aanaivari water falls in Muttal village in Attur forest range and the special arrangements made by the Forest Department has been attracting a large number of tourists from across the Western districts. The Forest Department has developed the waterfalls situated in a picturesque highly location into a tourist spot has take efforts to maintain the waterfalls and the surrounding areas. The Kalvarayan Hills experience rain fall during both the South West and North East Monsoon. The Forest Department converted this area into a tourist spot. The water flowing from the hills through the falls reaches the local lake in village. The Department has also introduced merry boating facility in the lake, for the benefit of the visitors. Muttal boating The Forest Department is operating vehicle to enable the tourists to reach the waterfalls from the lake. The precautionary measures has been taken for the tourists by providing Life-Jackets during the boat ride. A fee of Rs.20 for the adults and Rs.10 for the Children is collected for boating.

Coimbatore city is situated on the banks of river Noyal, a tributary of river Cauvery. Existence of Coimbatore can be traced back to 2nd Century AD as a small tribal village capital called Kongunad. According to Manuscript Chola Poorva Pattayam found in the Madras (Chennai) Oriental Manuscript Library, a small village kovanputhur named after a leader of the group kovan existed here. Later it was changed as Coimbatore. Coimbatore is also known as Kovai in Tamil language.
Karikalan, a famous Chola king brought Kondunad under his control. Kongunad was ruled by many famous kings from Cheras, Pandyas, Pallavas, Hoysalas, Vijayanagara and Chalukyas. Later when British ruled kongunad along with rest of India. It was during this British period many famous textile mills came.

The Unknown and Little Heaven Annur Chikkathaye Amma Betta Temple is about 65km from Mysuru, located in Annur village. Chikkathaye Amma Temple is located in top of the hillock. One needs to go through small muddy trail to reach the top of the hillock. Riding around the hillock is fun. The view from above is pleasing. Lot of peacock can be spotted here. One can spend hours gazing at the mesmerizing nature allaround. Luck me it was drizzling and loved every bit of the time spent here. One can explore further around this hillock. Have a short day in had and looking for a quick getaway, this is the place to be. Overall the blessings of Chikkathaye Amma with eye soothing nature makes this a must visit picnic place with friends and family
