One of them was this old mansion that is nowadays a 4-star hotel that charges €104 a night. Its name is “Château de Namur”.
The hotel is located in Namur's Citadel and has a Botanic garden around it.

The Namur Citadel has a leg up though because it's a part of their visitors centre which it completely free to visit! It gave a really nice overview of the citadel over the centuries but also the city. ... It's a very well done museum but, it doesn't give you as much of a well rounded overview like Namur. Is NAMUR worth visiting?
Namur's strategic position led to a number of sieges throughout its history. Due to these battles, the city has an interesting hodgepodge of architecture from different time periods. Namur also makes an excellent base for visiting the pretty villages of the Meuse and Semois Valleys.

I did a short trip through Germany and Belgium starting from the Netherlands. My third stop was at Namue and from there I visited some of its highlights, well actually what I believe it is its unique highlight, the citadel of Namur. They day was sunny, windy, cloudy, a bit humid, I had a nice variety.
On this video I’m going to show you the citadel and a bit of the city.
Namur is the capital city of the Wallonia region of Belgium. At the confluence of the Meuse and Sambre rivers is the Citadel, a medieval fortress with 7km of underground passages, gardens, views and a golden statue of a giant turtle. In town, the Felicien Rops Museum focuses on the works of this 19th-century, Namur-born erotic artist. The baroque St. Loup Church has marble columns and a richly carved ceiling.
The Citadel of Namur is a fortress watching at the confluence of the Sambre and Meuse rivers. It is originally from the Roman era, but has been rebuilt several times. Its current form was designed by Menno van Coehoorn, and improved upon by Vauban after the siege of 1692. It has been classified as a Wallonia Major Heritage site. Its highest point sits at 190m.
