Marburg is one of the old and scenic towns in Germany. The beautiful town is not far from the Frankfurt am Main where we can just use a train to get there.
We started our journey from Frankfurt am Main and it was fun to see other towns on the way while we are sitting in the Train. We got a city map from the Tourist Information Center which contained all the must visit places.
Then we walked towards the magnificent St. Elizabeth's Church. On the way we had the chance to see the ruins of the old St. Elizabeth's Hospital. We should highlight that we saw a small shop that sells Christmas decorative items. We were surprised by the prices because we have never seen such beautiful items as affordable as there.
On the way to the old town we took some photos near the Old Botanical Garden. It was not the ideal time to visit a botanical garden since it was almost winter. Then we took a small stair path to get to the Old Town which was on a hill.
It was almost 2 PM so we decided to go to a nearby Indian Restaurant. There was a small pathway to get down from the Old Town. Hunger didn't stop us from taking some good pictures on the way 😉.
Finally we found the Indian Village The Taste of Pakistan and India (Lahn Centre, Biegenstraße 4, 35037 Marburg). The guys thought we were Indians but it was unfortunate that we weren't. We had Chicken Biryani with black tea. The portion of the biryani was good and the price also very reasonable. We loved it and we can recommend that restaurant.
After our lunch we headed to Grimm-Dich-Pfad: Sterntaler where we had a nice view of the University Church Marburg. Then we walked to the Marktbrunnen Marburg and saw many people enjoying a nice evening, from there we walked to Grimm-Dich-Pfad: Schneewittchen where we took an amazing picture of ourselves through the mirror.
We finally arrived to our last destination of the day which is Landgrafen Palace. As usual we took many pictures there as well.

🇩🇪🇩🇪 Marburg: Eine Reise in die malerische Stadt Deutschlands 🇩🇪🇩🇪
Marburg ist eine der ältesten und malerischsten Städte in Deutschland. Die schöne Stadt liegt nicht weit von Frankfurt am Main entfernt, und man kann bequem mit dem Zug dorthin gelangen.
Wir starteten unsere Reise in Frankfurt am Main und genossen die Aussicht auf andere Städte entlang der Strecke, während wir im Zug saßen. Am Tourist-Informationszentrum holten wir uns eine Stadtkarte, die alle sehenswerten Orte enthielt.
Dann gingen wir zur prächtigen Elisabethkirche. Auf dem Weg hatten wir die Gelegenheit, die Ruinen des alten St. Elisabethen Krankenhaus zu sehen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist ein kleiner Laden, der Weihnachtsschmuck verkaufte. Wir waren überrascht von den Preisen, denn so schöne und gleichzeitig erschwingliche Stücke hatten wir noch nie gesehen.
Auf dem Weg in die Altstadt machten wir Fotos im Alten Botanischen Garten. Es war zwar fast Winter, aber dennoch ein schöner Zwischenstopp. Danach nahmen wir einen kleinen Treppenpfad, um zur auf einem Hügel gelegenen Altstadt zu gelangen.
Gegen 14 Uhr entschieden wir uns, in einem nahegelegenen indischen Restaurant zu essen. Es gab einen kleinen Weg hinunter aus der Altstadt, und trotz unseres Hungers hielten wir immer wieder an, um tolle Fotos zu machen. 😉
Schließlich fanden wir das Restaurant Indian Village - The Taste of Pakistan and India (Lahn Center, Biegenstraße 4, 35037 Marburg). Die Mitarbeiter dachten, wir seien Inder – leider stimmte das nicht. Wir bestellten Chicken Biryani mit Schwarztee. Die Portion war großzügig, und die Preise waren sehr angemessen. Uns hat es geschmeckt, und wir können das Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen.
Nach dem Mittagessen besuchten wir den Grimm-Dich-Pfad: Sterntaler, wo wir eine wunderschöne Aussicht auf die Universitätskirche Marburg hatten. Danach gingen wir weiter zum Marktbrunnen Marburg, wo viele Menschen einen angenehmen Abend genossen. Von dort aus spazierten wir zum Grimm-Dich-Pfad: Schneewittchen, wo wir ein tolles Bild von uns durch den Spiegel gemacht haben.
Unser letzter Halt des Tages war das Landgrafenschloss. Wie üblich machten wir auch dort viele Fotos.
Tipp: Man kann auch den Bus Nr. 10 vom Hauptbahnhof nehmen, um zum Landgrafenschloss zu gelangen.
