Santhebennur Pushkarani | Channagiri | Davanagere best place to travel 2022

Pushkarni in Santhebennur. Santhebennur is famous for a pond called Pushkarani, locally called Honda. Apart from the structure in the center, four more can be seen on the surrounding steps and there are two more - one each on the left & right. The Pushkarani itself is in front of a gallery kind of structure, open towards the Pushkarani, and without any rooms. These structures are built with a mix of stone, bricks & mortar . The region was a part of vijayanagara empire ,and Kenga Hanumantappa Nayaka ,a local palegar ,built a Rama Temple and a Pushkarni here in 16th century ,now even after five centuries ,the structure remains intact . The pushkarni with majestic mantapa at the center consider as one of the mangificent structures of south India...And also said that it has a water storage facility as its base. The mantapa is built in such a way that ,for an onlooker on the banks of pushkarni ,it just appear to be floating on water is the speciality of this place. This place is just a love with its view and green filled here will bring you a inner peace and positiveness and also a beautiful weekend spot for friends ,phootoshoots will go ultimate here..... etc, we captured a magical view of this Pushkarni or Honda in santhebennuru just 36 Kms from district 20kms taluk .. and 55kms from fort city Chitradurga.

Chikmagalur, with its lush green trees and the beautiful Mullayangiri mountains as a backdrop, is one of the most well-liked destinations for trekkers, nature lovers, thrill seekers, and explorers.
The tallest peak in Karnataka, India, is called Mullayanagiri. In the Western Ghats in the Chikkamagaluru Taluk, in the Chandra Dhrona Hill Ranges, is where you'll find Mullayyanagiri. Between the Nilgiri Hills and the Himalayas, it is the fourth tallest mountain at 1,930 metres which is 6,330 feet in height.One of the best hiking locations in South and Karnataka is Mullayanagiri. This location is near Seethalayyanagiri, a notable peak. A modest temple honouring a sage named Mulappa swamy who is thought to have meditated in the caverns just a few feet below the peak gives the peak its name.
