Kuwait City (Arabic: مدينة الكويت) is the capital and largest city of Kuwait. Located at the heart of the country on the south shore of Kuwait Bay on the Persian Gulf, it is the political, cultural and economic centre of the emirate, containing Kuwait's Seif Palace, government offices, and the headquarters of most Kuwaiti corporations and banks. It is one of the hottest cities in summer on earth, with average summer high temperatures over 45 °C (113 °F) for three months of the year.
As of 2018, the metropolitan area had roughly 3 million inhabitants (more than 70% of the country's population). The city itself has no administrative status. All six governorates of the country comprise parts of the urban agglomeration, which is subdived in numerous areas. In a narrower sense, Kuwait City can also refer only to the town's historic core, which nowadays is part of the Capital Governorate and seamlessly merges with the adjacent urban areas.
Kuwait City's trade and transportation needs are served by Kuwait International Airport, Mina Al-Shuwaik (Shuwaik Port) and Mina Al Ahmadi (Ahmadi Port).

I am explorer a welcome back to my channel, this video is been shot in Feb 2020, just before COVID, so travel at that time was open and this was my last international trip from Kuwait to Bahrain, all information that I will provide you regarding traveling in this video is based on my experience before COVID. So, if you all have any question to ask to travel in current situation that better you all be get in touch with your airline and make sure to take all necessary step to travel in Covid situation.
In this video I will give you a short tour of Kuwait international airport, flights to Bahrain + air fare, visa process and visa fees, my full Bahrain tour will be for 3 days and I believe you all will enjoy watching this series as I am going to divide this series in 3 parts, lets start.
I am at Kuwait international airport, and I finish my immigration and waiting in Dasma airport lounge till the boarding start, and in this time, I will try to give you as much information I can.
Let’s start with airline, today I am traveling with KLM airlines, this flight will go from Kuwait to Bahrain and from Bahrain to Frankfurt, total flying time to Bahrain from Kuwait is 55 minutes.
Fare for this flight is 20 KD per person which is really a good bargain, you all can easily book this flight directly from KLM website. But again, all this information is based on situation before covid. In present day I don’t guarantee any air fare offers on any flights. As travels rules are totally changed because of covid.
Visa to Bahrain is really easy if you hold a valid Kuwait residency, there is 2 ways to get Bahrain tourist visa
1. To get it on arrival, by showing all necessary documents like return ticket, hotel booking, but you must fulfil one more condition which is that your passport must be valid for more than 6 month and your Kuwait residency must be valid for more than 3 months, otherwise you can be denied entry. VISA fees for Bahrain on arrival is 25 Kuwaiti dinar.

To get it from Bahrain embassy located in embassy area Kuwait. just you have to fill form online on official embassy website and attach all document like Kuwait id, return tickets, hotel booking and select option of visit visa for 7 days so you will not pay anything until you get a call from embassy that your visa is ready. Once you receive this call within 2 working day max, then you visit embassy and pay visa fees which is only 20 KD per visa and collect your visa, this visa process is cheaper than on arrival visa process. Again, this process is before covid, always remember that. For current process kindly check with embassy.
Now let me give you some information on hotels
Hotels are really cheap in Bahrain specially in Al juffair area which is an expat area and have all big shopping mall & food outlet around it. Mostly you will find 3 star to 4 star hotels all around this area
We book a hotel in juffair area name of the hotel is Juffair gate hotel, which cost 11 kd per night so a total of 33 kd for 3 nights. Which include a private parking also, which was a good bargain price. this hotel was booked from one Indian website name GOIBIBO, and I think they are providing the best price on hotels as we always use this platform to book hotels for international travel.
Again, this all was before Covid.
Now some information on Car rental,
As we want to explore some far area in Bahrain so renting car was a good option, as taxi fares are really high in Bahrain, so we got a rented self-drive car with an 8 KD charge per day. With unlimited Kilometers. Anyhow Bahrain is a small and beautiful country which can be explored in 2 days max. and to drive car in Bahrain you must have either international driving license or Kuwait driving license will do the job
There are many car rental companies in Bahrain special on airport when you finish your immigration, you can see, AVIS, budget, regent and many more car rental companies, we hire this Nissan sunny car from regent car rental for our Bahrain trip
Also don’t forget to take international roaming on your mobile with data plan as you need that to access google maps to drive in new country and find best routes, or else you can buy a local SIM from airport with a charge of 5 KD with 2 GB internet and some calling minutes will do the job, for more internet usage u can use hotels WIFI connection. So, I think that much is enough in this video and currently we heading to most popular tourist destination in Bahrain which is TREE of LIFE and will give you full information on this in my next video so stay tune and don’t forget to like and subscribe as this will motivate me to make more videos
