10 Cheapest Countries To Live In Europe Comfortably.

10 Cheapest Countries to Live in Europe Comfortably.
One may think that Europe as a continent is very expensive, where high rental prices are the norm. However, the reality of European nations is quite different, while some countries are indeed expensive, others are surprisingly affordable, especially most Eastern European countries. These countries offer one of the best healthcare services as well as good quality housing facilities and affordable cost for food. If you’ve always wanted to live in Europe, but you were scared off due to the high costs of living in countries like France, Italy, Germany, or even Switzerland, worry not as you can still experience Europe even with a low budget. It might also interest you to know that moving to Eastern European countries is way easier and cheaper than moving to Western European countries. Of course, they may not be as cheap as the cheap countries in Asia, but you can easily live a comfortable life with less than 1000 Euros a month. So to show you that it’s possible, here are the cheapest countries to live in Europe that will make you want to pack your bags already and move to this beautiful continent.
10. Latvia.
Marked by wide beaches as well as dense, sprawling forests, Latvia is a country on the Baltic Sea between Lithuania and Estonia. This country's capital, Riga, is home to notable wooden and art nouveau architecture, a vast central market and a medieval Old Town with the St. Peter's Church. The nation is a green country on the Northern coast of Europe. It’s one of the cheapest places to live in developed Europe. Latvia boasts diverse top sectors, with many work opportunities for expats, especially in international industries related to exports. The cost of living in Europe is rarely dirt cheap, but Riga offers much of the quaint romance of Western Europe at a lower cost, and without the madness of some western European countries. The food prices can be quite cheap. Even some of the city’s better restaurants offer business lunches for as little as five euros, which come complete with coffee, tea, or sometimes even wine. Monthly rent for an apartment in a normal area is $500. The cost of living for a single person in Latvia is estimated at $678 excluding rent. A family of four estimated monthly costs is $2,320 excluding rents. Relatively, the cost of living in Latvia is way cheaper than living in the U.S.

10 Cheap & Safe European Countries to Live, Visit or Work From in 2022 - With Rent Prices

Most European countries are known for their beauty, but also for the cost of living that is not low. Europe is a continent that has the most expensive countries to live like France, Ireland, Denmark and Switzerland. So many people usually do not consider Europe as a continent to move, live, work from or retire.

But Europe has a lot of countries. With about 40 countries on this continent, there are some underrated countries that are cheap but safe to live in, very well connected with the rest of the world and in fact, a lot of digital nomads from the US, Canada, Australia, Asia and other European countries found their new home in one of these beautiful underrated countries.
We ranked the countries on this list by the total monthly cost of living which includes the rent of a one-bedroom apartment in the capital city plus another cost including food, transportation, utilities, and basic clothing.

Safety is a very important factor to consider with planning to move to another country so we also take it with our rankings of the cheapest countries in Europe to live in. So, a better, full name of our list should be The 10 Cheapest but Safe Mostly Underrated European Countries to Live, to Move, to Work from or to Retire in 2022, Rated by the Total Monthly Cost of Living. Safety was the reason that we haven't considered countries like Ukraine, Belarus and Russia for this list as the result of the latest tensions between Russia and Ukraine.

So, let's see what 10 countries in Europe deserved the title of the most underrated, cheap and safe to live, work from, retire or visit in 2022. Keep following us @DanCity channel.
