This Paris guide is designed for folks who want something a little more off the beaten track; the kind of things locals love (yup we got a lot of help from madame Swank Z… our Paris insider).

Fashionista retail:
The Broken Arm
The legendary Galeries Lafayette
Paris’s historical covered passages, AKA galleries” or “arcades” where you’ll find boutique stores, bistros, and curated wine cellars
Running parallel to the Champs Elysees is Saint-Honoré where you’ll find Dominique Sirop, Chanel, Pierre Cardin, as well as the flagship stores of Lanvin and Hermès
Nightlife:
Pigalle neighborhood: La Fourmi café, hot music venues La Boule Noire and La Cigale are close by, as is the Trianon
Supersonic is the place for rock music fans
The edgy Villette neighborhood in the 19th: La Gare.

Try the bouquinistes by the Seine, these secondhand book stands on the riverside sidewalks have been there since the 16th century

Finally, be sure to stop by the historical City of Paris library, some of the locations are architectural gems
Poetry: Maison de la Poesie is just around the corner from the Centre Pompidou, and puts on regular performances and social events.
The Pantheon: this Neoclassical megastructure is unmissable for its architecture alone - but go for the dead writers.
Bar Hemingway: this bar in back of the Ritz Hotel on the Place Vendôme is named after Ernest Hemingway

We're big fans of Parisian coffee roasters Belleville Brûlerie.
Ground Control Food Hall: Now let’s get to food. Hands down our favorite foodie destination
La Residence: this food stand offers dishes made by refugees to France, with African food particularly well-represented

Finish your foodie rampage at Stohrer, the oldest patisserie in Paris
