The Devetàshka cave ( #Devetàshka #peshterà as it is pronounced in #Bulgarian) is a picturesque karst cave near Veliko Tarnovo.
Discovered in 1921 by Bulgarian explorers, the cave went a number of years without being recognized for its cultural heritage and was even used as an oil depot in the 1950s. Today, Devetashka is a protected national landmark of national and international significance and has been declared a monument of culture.

The Orlova Chuka Cave is a work of nature with unique beauty and one of the most interesting caves in Bulgaria. Since 1963 it is a natural landmark and since 1978 it is an archeological cultural monument with national importance.
Orlova Chuka cave's name is connected with the name of the cliff where is its entrance. In the near past, there were eagles living there.

Plovdiv (2024) is one of the largest cities in Bulgaria with a population of 350,000. In the broader metropolitan area live 675,000 people. Some highlights of the city are the Hills of Plovdiv, the Greek theatre and stadium, the Hisar Kapia, the Ethnographic and Historical Museums, Virgin Mary Eastern Orthodox Church, the Plovdiv Synagogue, the St Louis Roman Catholic Cathedral and the Tsar Simeon's garden. The city of Plovdiv (Пловдив 2023) was founded in 342 BC by the Greeks from Macedonia as Philippopolis (Greek: Φιλιππούπολις). During the Greek Byzantine and Bulgarian wars Phillipopolis became part the Bulgarian Empire untill the Ottoman Turks conquered the city in 1364. The last Greeks of Plovdiv left during WWI.

I must admit that Sofia, Bulgaria was never high on my list. I was able to get away to this city capital on a weekend break and thoroughly enjoyed it! Some of the shots from the video include the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral (or Cathedral Saint Aleksandar Nevski), Russian Church Sveti Nikolay Mirlikiiski, Church of Sveti Sedmochislenitsi, The Largo, and Nezavisimost (Independence) Square.

Sofia is the capital and largest city of Bulgaria. It is situated in the eponymous valley at the foot of the Vitosha mountain in the western parts of the country. The city is built west of the Iskar river, and has many mineral springs, such as the Sofia Central Mineral Baths. It has a humid continental climate. Being in the centre of the Balkans, it is midway between the Black Sea and the Adriatic Sea, and closest to the Aegean Sea.
Known as Serdica in Antiquity and Sredets in the Middle Ages, Sofia has been an area of human habitation since at least 7000 BC. The recorded history of the city begins with the attestation of the conquest of Serdica by the Roman Republic in 29 BC from the Celtic tribe Serdi. During the decline of the Roman Empire, the city was raided by Huns, Visigoths, Avars and Slavs. In 809 Serdica was incorporated into the Bulgarian Empire by Khan Krum and became known as Sredets. In 1018, the Byzantines ended Bulgarian rule until 1194, when it was reincorporated by the reborn Bulgarian Empire. Sredets became a major administrative, economic, cultural and literary hub until its conquest by the Ottomans in 1382. From 1530 to 1826, Sofia was the regional capital of Rumelia Eyalet, the Ottoman Empire's key province in Europe. Bulgarian rule was restored in 1878. Sofia was selected as the capital of the Third Bulgarian State in the next year, ushering a period of intense demographic and economic growth (wikipedia)

Tyulenovo is not a place for those who want to sit quietly on the beach, but it is perfect for an evening walk on the seafront or for lovers of jumping, snorkeling, deep water solo, or diving. The cliffs, the stone arch, and the small bay with fishing boats offer some landscapes only good for photography.
Also, the location is very good for wedding photoshoots, trash the dress, especially at the golden hour of sunrise.
