A Convoy through Türkiye -38 (FINAL)
This is the final video I took from the trip. After this video, we spent a few days in Kayseri and I was starting to get burned out. My part of the trip lasted more than 10 days, at which point my host dad and I left the truck, and took a bus back to Georgia for my host mom's brother's wedding. My biggest regret from the trip is not having been able to take a walk into Kayseri to see the city. The reason I didn't is because we could've gotten a call at any minute to take a load back to Georgia, so if I would've gone, I would've risked ruining our chances of leaving. I saw it from afar, and it was nice, but it was a LONG trip.
After the wedding, my host dad went back to his truck in Turkey. One of the three drivers did manage to get a load in Kayseri. The other two went on to Yalova (south of Istanbul, on the other side of the water) to get their load. They hauled some trees and flowers back to Georgia from there, and got their payday. The trip was not a financial loss, but it sure did take a long time, a lot of stress, and patience to get it done!
I decided to accompany my host father on his trucking trip through Turkey. We were joined by two of his friends for the trip. This was their first trip into Turkey for a pick up, and they were going in empty. We didn't know what to expect, but we figured being armed with English, German, Georgian, Russian, maps, and smart phones we'd be able to get by someway, somehow....
The first part of the trip took us along the beautiful Turkish Black Sea Coast. The second part brought us into the heart of eastern Turkey, almost to Syria, almost to the Mediterranean.
Turkey Suspend flights for six countries including India,1000 Italy visa stickers stolen from locker
The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reported the theft of around 1,000 visa stickers from the Italian Embassy in Islamabad, SchengenVisaInfo.com reports.
The Spokesperson, Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri, confirmed the news and said that the incident had already been reported to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the foreign diplomatic mission.
The information was immediately shared with the concerned authorities to take appropriate action in this regard,” Chaudhri said.
According to reports, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has informed the Interior Ministry and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) about around 1,000 visa stickers embezzled from the locker room of the Italian embassy earlier this month.
The concerned departments have been requested to keep track of the visa stickers at all entry and exit points and report any seizure to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
About 750 stolen visa stickers have the serial numbers from ITA041913251 to ITA041914000, and the 250 visa stickers have the numbers from ITA041915751 to ITA041916000.
Within the scope of the measures taken against the Covid-19 pandemic, the following decisions are effective on July 1, 2021 regarding entry to Turkey, per the Turkish authorities:
Arrival of passengers coming to Turkey from Bangladesh, Brazil, South Africa, India, Nepal or Sri Lanka are suspended until further notice. Passengers traveling from these countries may transit to other countries without entering Turkey.
Passengers who are arriving to Turkey and who have been in Bangladesh, Brazil, South Africa, India, Nepal or Sri Lanka in the last 14 days, must submit a negative PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before arrival and must be quarantined for 14 days in locations to be determined by the Governorships. If the PCR test result to be made at the end of the 14th day of the quarantine is negative, the quarantine measure will be terminated. Passengers whose PCR test result is positive will be taken into isolation as soon as the positive test result is received and the measure will be terminated with a negative PCR test result which will be made at the end of the 14th day.
Passengers arriving from Afghanistan and Pakistan and passengers who have been to these countries in the last 14 days are required to stay under quarantine for 10 days. If the PCR test result to be made at the end of the 7th day of the quarantine is negative, the quarantine measure will be terminated. If the test results are positive, they will be treated in accordance with the Covid-19 guidelines of the Ministry of Health.
The quarantine for passengers who are arriving to Turkey and who have been in Bangladesh, Brazil, South Africa, India, Nepal or Sri Lanka in the last 14 days, or arriving to Turkey from Afghanistan or Pakistan or who have been to these countries in the last 14 days will be at dormitories determined by the Governorships or at accommodation facilities serving as quarantine facilities. The terms and conditions regarding the quarantine hotels, accommodation fees, transportation of the passengers from the borders, etc. will be set and announced by the Governorships.
Passengers arriving to Turkey from the United Kingdom, Iran, Egypt and Singapore must present a negative PCR test result taken in the last 72 hours prior to arrival to Turkey.
Passengers from countries other than the ones mentioned in articles 1, 2 and 4 and who submitted a document issued by the relevant country's official authorities showing that they had been vaccinated at least 14 days before their arrival in Turkey and/or that they had recovered from the disease in the last six months starting on the 28th day of the first positive PCR test are not requested to submit a PCR/rapid antigen test and they will not go under a quarantine. In case a certificate of vaccination or documents indicating that they have had/recovered from the virus is not presented, the result of a negative PCR test or rapid antigen test (performed within the last 48 hours) in the last 72 hours prior to arrival to Turkey from these countries must be submitted.
Passengers are subject to PCR testing on the basis of sampling at arrival. These passengers will be allowed to proceed to their final destination after the test samples are taken. If the test results are positive, they will be treated in accordance with the Covid-19 guidelines of the Ministry of Health. Passengers and the persons with close contact with passengers with positive test results will be quarantined for 14 days at the addresses they have determined, and quarantine conditions will be terminated if the PCR test results to be performed at the end of the 10th day are negative. The quarantine conditions of those who are found to be carrying the Delta variant will be terminated with a negative PCR test result at the end of the 14th day.
