LANGKAWI, MALAYSIA (2023) | 10 BEST Things To Do On Langkawi Island
The Langkawi archipelago is located off the west coast of mainland Malaysia. This cluster in the Andaman Sea consists of 99 islands, and only 4 are inhabited. The main Langkawi island is easily accessible by plane or ferry and it’s the most popular one to visit. It’s also the largest island and has a ton to offer.
10. Visit Sandy Skulls Beach & Temurun Falls
Located at the northern coastline, Sandy Skulls Beach (Pantai Tengkorak) is a true local favorite. It’s a beautiful secluded beach with soft white sands, shallow waters for swimming, and forested trees for shade.
When you’re in the area, it’s also worth making the 5-minute drive to nearby Temurun Falls, the tallest waterfall on the island.
9. Eat At The Night Market
When the night falls, the markets open their doors. You can find a market at any day of the week on Langkawi, but the location changes each day. We visited the Temoyong Night Market near Cenang Beach on Thursday.
8. Relax At Cenang Beach
Cenang beach is the most popular and beloved beach on the island, with lots of activities and tourist facilities right at your fingertips. Try jet skiing or paragliding or simply relax at a beach bar.
😴 WHERE WE STAYED IN CENANG - MyVilla Langkawi Hotel:
7. Visit Laman Padi + Museum
Another fun thing to do in Cenang is to visit the rice fields. At the time of our visit, it was free to enter.
6. Langkawi Cable Car & Sky Bridge
One of the most popular activities on Langkawi is to take the cable car to the top of Machincang mountain. The summit sits at an elevation of 708 meters or 2322 feet, providing spectacular views of the surrounding islands and rainforests. There is also a suspension bridge that you can access for a small fee. The cable car leaves from the Oriental Village, but be aware that there might be long lines.
5. Visit the 3D Art in Paradise Museum
The museum houses over 100 different three-dimensional artworks that are divided up into 9 zones and themes. It’s a great activity on a rainy day or to combine with a visit to the cable car.
4. Hike To The Telaga Tujuh Waterfall
Near the Oriental Village, you’ll find the Seven Wells Waterfall, which are widely considered to be the most impressive falls on Langkawi. To get here, you can hike up stairs through a rainforest.
3. Cruise The Kilim Geoforest Park
Langkawi’s northeast coastline is covered with a dense mangrove forest, which has been protected under UNESCO since 2007. Officially named the Kilim Geoforest Park, this natural area can only be visited by taking a boat tour. Most tours last 2 to 3 hours and take you around the swamp, limestone formations, rugged caves, and areas of forested lands.
☑️ Ethical tour of the mangroves:
2. Relax At Tanjung Rhu Beach
One of the most scenic beaches in Langkawi is called Tanjung Rhu beach, which lies at the edge of the Geoforest Park in the north of the island. Due to its slightly hidden location, you will find clean white sands and few crowds here.
1. Drive To Langkawi’s Tallest Peak (Gunung Raya)
Gunung Raya sits at 881 meters or 2890 feet and offers beautiful views of the island and sea. But even better than the view is the actual drive itself. Winding through the primary rainforest, you can spot many animals here.

Cenang Beach is probably Langkawi’s most popular beach, where you can find all sorts of water sports and activities available. A favorite among visitors is parasailing, where you can soar through the sky and take in the view of Pulau Langkawi from up above. It costs around RM300 per person.

Top Places To Visit In Malaysia | Kuala Lumpur | TravelAssistente
Malaysia is a country of contrasts with a unique blend of colonial architecture, beautiful parks and beaches, modern skyscrapers, and a distinctive landscape covered in tea plantations. Malaysia is a melting pot with influences from its neighbors as well as Western nations. From the famous Petrona Towers to the cultural and religious diversity that makes this place unique, there is something for everyone. Both budget-conscious and upscale tourists can visit popular Malaysian locations like Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, and Sabah and find accommodations that fit their budgets.
1. Kuala Lumpur
There are numerous tourist attractions in Malaysia's capital and largest city. KL is a very popular tourist destination and frequently ranks in the top 10 most visited cities in the world, perhaps best known for the Petronas Twin Towers, the tallest twin towers in the world.
A blend of colonial, contemporary, Asian, and Malay architecture gives the city a distinctive appearance that is uncommon in Southeast Asian capitals. Even if you don't intend to go inside, the National Palace and the House of Parliament are two examples of stunning KL architecture that are well worth a look.
In addition to having nearly 70 shopping malls, Kuala Lumpur is regarded as one of the best places in Southeast Asia to shop. The city is also home to a number of indoor and outdoor markets, including the enormous Central Market, which has over 800 shops and stalls. It is also a great place to find hand-carved wood and pewter.
2. Gunung Mulu National Park
The park, which bears the name of Mount Mulu, draws tourists from all over Asia who come for the hiking, caving, hot springs, and scenic beauty that led to the designation of this location as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Climbers can ascend Mount Mulu after a 24-kilometer trek that begins at the park's administrative center and rises 1,200 meters; however, there are also easier trails within the park for those seeking a more leisurely day out. However, the caves in the park and the countless bats that live there are its main draws. The caves are record-breakers in a number of ways, including having the world's largest cave passage and Southeast Asia's longest cave system. They are located deep within the surrounding rainforest and karst cliffs.
3. Kuantan
It may come as no surprise that Kuantan's main claim to fame is its beaches given that it is situated directly along the South China Sea. The nearby Cherating Beach is home to a turtle sanctuary as well as a cultural village that creates and sells traditional batik, while Teluk Cempedak Beach is just minutes from the city center and offers a tree-lined, clean shoreline.
Popular attractions that provide numerous opportunities to explore the surroundings and go hiking or swimming include the Sungai Pandan Waterfall and Esplanade Park, from which you can take a boat to see the city from a completely different perspective.
4. Langkawi
A group of 99 islands off the coast of Malaysia, Langkawi is home to three Geoforest parks that are under protection as well as numerous beaches that are lined with coconut trees and rank among the best in Malaysia. While beaches on the smaller northeastern islands are more secluded and have a backdrop of limestone cliffs, some beaches, like Pantai Cenang beach, are very well-liked by tourists.
You can ride the island's cable car to the peak of one of its tallest mountains for the best views of the surrounding islands and ocean. From here, you can access the 660-meter-long, 125-meter-long Langkawi Sky Bridge, a pedestrian walkway. The Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls, which provide lovely clear swimming pools and a jungle trail that ascends two different mountains, are also only a short distance from the cable car.
5. Selangor
Selangor is the name of the state that sits atop Kuala Lumpur's urban sprawl and is the most populous and developed in Malaysia. A Formula One racetrack, the National Zoo of Malaysia, and sizable theme parks, including an indoor snow park, can all be found here.
The famous Batu Caves in Selangor are a Hindu shrine with the largest statue of Lord Murugan (the god of war) in the entire world. Selangor is more than just concrete and neon signs. Large crowds frequent the Batu Caves, especially around Thaipusam.
The abundance of fireflies along the river in Kuala Selangor is a stunning sight worth seeing if you're ready to be wooed by nature!

Visit, Explore and Discover Telaga Tujuh Waterfall and Pantai Kok: Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia 2020
So, this video shows our visits to Telaga Tujuh Waterfall (‘air terjun’ in Malay means waterfall) and Pantai Kok (‘pantai’ in Malay means beach) near Oriental Village in Langkawi Island, Kedah, Malaysia. The Telaga Tujuh Waterfall referring to a collection of seven intertwined natural pools fed by seven separate waterfalls in Mount MaChinchang. We walked for about 10 minutes from Oriental Village to Telaga Tujuh Car Park, and then walked for another 5 minutes climbing up several steps to the first waterfall in Telaga Tujuh Waterfall area. There are toilets and several shops and stalls selling food and drink at the Telaga Tujuh Car Park. It takes about 45 minutes-walk from the Telaga Tujuh Car Park to the peak of the waterfall. However, we visited only the first waterfall with beautiful scenery along the way and around the waterfall. There are toilets near the waterfall. There are a few waterfalls in Langkawi that offer a scenic and peaceful location for a picnic. The waterfalls tend to be quite shallow and slow-moving during dry season. The best time to visit the waterfalls is during rainy season at year end.
After visiting the waterfall, we walked from there to Pantai Kok which took us about 30 minutes to reach Burau Corner, a small commercial area consists of small stalls selling mainly local food and drink. Pantai Kok is a stretch of peace and quiet beach in Teluk Burau, on the western coast part of Langkawi Island, about 25 km from Kuah Town. The sandy beach is about 20 yards wide and has a curved stretch of about 700 m long. Pantai Kok is a wonderful, serene and secluded beach. This beach is peaceful and quiet with white sand and crystal clear blue water, great for walk and swimming. At one end of this beach is Telaga Harbour Marina, a modern yacht marina. The beach is still relatively undisturbed with only a few hotels around. There are several mid-range hotels and inns in Pantai Kok. There are also a few luxury resorts with their own private beaches. There are multitude of shops, restaurants, cafes, etc. in Perdana Quay at the marina. There are also stalls selling local food and drink on the public beach area not far from the marina. The beach can get crowded by locals for picnic at weekend or public holidays. There are palms and other trees along the beach to give some shades. The beach is overlooking the Andaman Sea.

Malaysia- we often recall this country as a scenic and iconic tourist attraction of the world, but do we know that it is one of those countries of the world which is also recognized for its diversity? In Malaysia, you will see a perfect blend of ethnic cultures, religions, cuisines, and customs. Starting from mountains and tropical rainforest to some modern cities the geography of this county is as diverse as its other features. Another interesting part is that this country is formed by two noncontagious regions- west Malaysia which is on the Malay Peninsula and East Malaysia which is on the Borneo Island, separated by a part of the South China Sea. Here’s a look at the most touristy places where you can visit in Malaysia.
