1300 Years of Bulgaria is the name of this monument in Shumen simply because it was erected 130 years after Khan Asparuh founded Bulgaria. This huge monument is like a closed space in which you can meet the people who probably contributed the most for the First Bulgarian Country. Khan Asparuh will great you at the entrance as a founder of Bulgaria. You will see Tervel, the diplomat, Krum, the creator of the laws and Omurtag, the builder. Boris I is also there who introduced the Christianity to the nation and after him is Simeon I (also known as Simeon The Great) who extended the country to 3 sees. In the monument he is surrounded by his boyards who helped him with important solutions, and his army.

Belogradchik rocks
Belogradchik rocks are located in the northwest part of Bulgeria near the town having the same name Belogradchik. They extend around 30 km length,3-5 km width & up to 200m height.This fortress is a manmade construction set against a stunning outcrop of rocks. The combination is so unique & picturesque that it seems to have been lifted straight out of a Disney fairytale. This rocks, named in 2009 as Bulgaria’s candidate to be selected as one of the new seven wonders of nature, are a stunning arrangement of strange shaped sandstone & conglomerate rock formations.
Nessebar
Nessebar is charming town located in the southern black sea coast & is one of the most popular Bulgarian Black sea resorts. It is divided into two Parts, “the new” & “the old” city. The Old Nessebar is located on a small peninsula connected to the mainland by a thin piece of land, This old city is quite popular with its historical churches & buildings dating back to ancient times, when it was founded as a Thracian settlement known as Menebria. Greeks ,romans,byzantines,Bulgarians,
crusaders & ottomans all look turns fortifying the ancient town & the narrow peninsula on which it is located.
Rila Monastery
This is the most visited monastery in Bulgaria. It is situated in southwestern Bulgaria ,117 km away from Sofia. Rising at 1147m above sea level , it lies amidst some of the most scenic recesses of the Rila Mountains, to which the monastery owes its name. It is known as the Jerusalem of Bulgaria probably due to the fact that it attracts both pilgrims & tourists. Any visitor to the Monastery will be sure to appreciate the different aspects of the artwork on display. The Monastery is regarded as one of the Bulgarian‘s most important cultural, historical & architectural monuments & is a key tourist attraction for Bulgaria.
Seven Rila Lakes
One of Bulgaria’s main tourist attractions is a group of glacial lakes located high in the Rila Mountains.The cirque of the Seven Rila lakes is the largest in all of Rila Mountains. The lakes are located one above the other in a mountain valley , interconnected by streams & waterfalls. There are seven lakes namely, the Tear, the Eye, the Kidney, the Twins,Three-lobed lake, the Fish lake & the Low lake.Legends say the lakes were formed by the tears of a female giant, crying for her beloved.
Sunny beach
Sunny beach is a major resort on the coast of the Black sea. This resort is host to thousands of tourists during the summer months. However it is beautiful all year around.
Varna
Varna is the largest city and seaside resort on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast. It is third in population after Sofia and Plovdiv and the second largest city in Bulgaria. Varna is a major tourist destination, a starting point for all resorts in the northern Bulgarian Black Sea Coast ,business and university centre, seaport, and headquarters of the Bulgarian Navy and merchant marine. The urban area features 20 km of sand beaches and abounds in thermal mineral water sources. The central sea baths and the beach are situated below the Sea Garden.

This was the historic capital of the second Bulgarian Empire between the 12th & 14th Centuries.Veliko Tarnavo is located in central Bulgaria & is a popular tourist attraction. The reconstructed Tsarevets fortress here bears no resemblance to the medieval palaces of the Bulgarian tsars who ruled till 1393.
