The majestic Mayan Copan Ruins to the Talgua Cave and the beautiful Fonseca Gulf in the Pacific ocean.
Honduras has a 3,000-year-old Mayan culture, beautiful beaches and islands and delicious cuisine. Honduras' tropical weather enriches its lush flora and fauna. It is mountainous and the only Central American country without active volcanoes.

Lake Yajoa is an incredible destination for backpackers who want to get off of the beaten path of tourist and enjoy their pwn slice of paradise. It's very budget friendly and easy to get around, making it an awesome spot to base yourself for a while in Honduras.

SAN JACINTO Manabi, So charming I forgot about San Clemente | Ecuador
San Clemente may be popular with expats but neighbouring San Jacinto in Manabi has an infectious local energy.
The great thing is you don't have to choose, San Jacinto, San Alejo and San Clemente are small villages along the same stretch of beautiful beach in Ecuador.
Kimberly, the owner of The Cottages by the Sea ( invited us to come stay with her if we were ever traveling through the region and I'm so glad we did!
The cottages are an oasis! And perfectly situated in San Alejo so you can walk a few blocks to the right and arrive in San Clemente or a few blocks to the left in San Jacinto.
I intended to spend time in all three but I really enjoyed San Jacinto the most so I always wanted to walk left. While San Jacinto isn't as pretty, it has fantastic local food and you can watch the fishermen come in.
If you want to take a mangrove tour at La Boca they are run by official guides. Pascual was great. He only speaks Spanish but even if you don't understand it's a beautiful view and both he and the boat driver point out birds and iguanas +593 98 898 8583

Staying a Night in a Volcanic Crater Lake- Laguna de Apoyo, Nicaragua
This is the first video of the Nicaragua series. From Central Park Masaya we drive to Laguna de Apoyo, a volcanic crater lake. The first stop is the Mirador (vista point) in the city of Catarina. At the mirador we walk around the stands and get a scenic view of the laguna and surrounding landscape. From the mirador we drive down to the laguna and check into Hotel Selva Azul. From there it is a couple minutes walk to the black sand beach. We are inside a volcanic crater but also surrounded by a jungle. We conclude our stay at Laguna de Apoyo and end the video driving to our next destination Granada, Nicaragua.
