Popular Costa Rica Itinerary 📝🇨🇷

Popular Costa Rica Itinerary 📝🇨🇷
Save this post for planning your trip!

☀️La Fortuna/Arenal: Many people come here right after arriving (or staying one night) in San José. Here you can see Arenal Volcano and visit a myriad of hotels with amazing hot springs
☀️Monteverde: It is somewhat near to La Fortuna, and has a different, mountainous climate where you can explore the cloud forests and zipline through them - just watch out for sloths on the lines!
☀️Manuel Antonio: Often the final stop to get some time at the paradisiac beaches and see some wildlife in and around the Manuel Antonio National Park!

I'd say most people do this itinerary in 10 days!
Would this be a good itinerary for you? Or would you have something else in mind? Let me and everyone know in the comments!

Farmer's market in San isidro de El General, Costa Rica 🇨🇷👨‍🌾

We went to the Farmer's market in San Isidro de El General, Costa Rica 🇨🇷👨‍🌾

It was huge! They have so many vendors that sell vegetables, exotic fruits, flowers, crafts, handmade foods, and cheese. I even saw some underpants and cremation services up for offer!

The market is every Wednesday (all day), Thursday (all day), and Friday from 6am to noon. They have onsite parking for about a dollar per hour and a soda where you can have breakfast or lunch!

Best Places to Live in Costa Rica 2020 - 1 of 5 Regions - The Southern Central Perez Zeledon Area

This video is Part 1 of a 5 part series on the Best Places to Live or Retire in Costa Rica.

Today, we'll talk about and look at the Southern Central area of Costa Rica, commonly referred to as Perez Zeledon. The Perez Zeledon area is probably the most popular place outside of the area near San Jose for Gringos to retire.

More about this video:

We'll tell you why this area has become our favorite area and help you to see the pros and cons of living in Perez Zeledon.

Living in Costa Rica can be very affordable and because Perez Zeledon is NOT a very touristy area, the prices are usually the normal prices that Ticos pay. This makes living in the area, affordable and shopping is easy because you are so close to San Isidro which is the 2nd largest and the fastest-growing city in Costa Rica.

The area has a lot of ex-pats in the remote areas...but you don't see them all over, which makes you feel like you are NOT in a tourist area but enjoying authentic Costa Rica.

But...there are a lot of ex-pat communities that give you the ability to meet up and talk with other ex-pats if that is something you enjoy doing.

Amazing Estate Just 15 minutes of Perez Zeledon-CostaRica

his Farm located just 15 minutes from San Isidro del General this property bathes by the waters of tit own river. The current use is for livestock and agriculture, the soils are suitable for almost all types of legumes and fruit trees. After this year 2020, which has left us a lesson in life, producing our own sustenance, it has become a worldwide trend and some consider that life THE PERFECT LIFE. The Earth and water are two elements that this property gives they are left over as it is next to the River. It can be conceived having a hotel, solar or hydroelectric energy. . Also a self-sustainable community project with permaculture, could be a reality.

Just dream of your life project and make it come true, where water and fertile soils meet your imagination.

San Isidro Costa Rica - REAL TIME UNEDITED - Tour Perez Zeledon & San Isidro del General Costa Rica

This video will take you on a REAL-TIME (unedited) Motorbike Tour through San Isidro, which is better known as Perez Zeledon.

You can watch the detailed video tour which gives you a LOT more information about San Isidro and even takes you on a few detours to Walmart, the San Isidro Mall, my favorite Produce Market, and a trip around the San Isidro Town Center.

Click the link HERE:
for that detailed San Isidro Tour.

In this video...Today's tour runs from the north end of San Isidro, following the Main 4 lane highway that goes through San Isidro and ends on the south end of San Isidro at the end of the 4 lane highway.

From the north to the south end, our trip is only 10 kilometers or about 6.2 miles.
This means our total tour today is approximately 20 kilometers or about 12.5 miles.

This video will give you a good idea of what it might feel like to actually live in the Perez Zeledon area and see everything that is available to you on the main highway.

Enjoy and make sure to Like this video and leave comments on what you think about this area.

In thE DETAILED video, we'll learn a little bit about and tour my favorite city, San Isidro de El General in Perez Zeledon.

This area claims to be the fastest-growing area outside of the San Jose Metropolitan area according to research on the internet.

So that you know where in Costa Rica this great city of San Isidro is located, let me give you just a little bit of helpful information.

San Isidro del General is located inside a larger area, the canton of Perez Zeledon and is what we believe...in our opinion, the best area to live if you're planning to come to Costa Rica.

***Subscribe and click the Bell icon so you can get notifications every time a new video is posted on this channel.

More about this video:

The only disadvantage of going into the city of San Isidro is fighting the traffic or trying to find a parking place in downtown San Isidro.

Most people refer to San Isidro as Perez Zeledon...even though the town is actually named San Isidro del General.

If you choose to live in the area of Perez Zeledon, you'll probably do all your major shopping in this town.

Today, I'll take you on a Tour of San Isidro or Tour Perez Zeledon, and show you how we can avoid all the traffic that is in the heart of San Isidro.

Our tour will take you from the North end of San Isidro to the South end and run along the whole 4 lane highway that runs through San Isidro del General.

Enjoy and make sure to let us know how you enjoyed this tour of San Isidro del General Costa Rica.

Entry from: San Isidro, Costa Rica
Entry Title: Chirripo - costa rica's highest point

Entry:

We started to walk at 5am. It was very cold, something not usual in this part of the country.
When we reached the 1st Km we were all sweat and all that cold had gone away...

The first seven kilometers are not very diffcult. On the seventh kilometer there is a place to rest and fill the bottles of water because by that time we had consumed about 2lts of water and we will need more for the following half of the trip...

The following kilometers start getting very hard. The weight of our backpacks starts to feel very much in our backs, and we start to think about all that extra things we brought and now we wanna throw away....
Finally after 3 Kms going up, there is a view that we stop to admire or is it just an excuse to get our breath back?.... a little of both i guess...

Finally we reached the last kilometer.... but its the **********e.... no wonder its called The Repentants.... but after 13 Kms of walking.... i dont think anyone is thinking in going back. Its better to just go through it....

Fianlly we reached the shelter after 7 hours of walking....
i stand at the edge of the cliff to take my breath back and to enjoy the view of the mountain and the cold breeze.... feels great....

From the shelter we can see Los Crestones, in the top of the mountain. Its 1.5 Kms away from the shelter ... ill go there later... it got late today and sun is setting now....

The next day we got up pretty early to find it was raining really hard and it was very cold... but we had to go out anyways...

After 2 hours of walking we got to the Chirripo peak, 7 Kms away from the shelter.... pretty easy hike except that to get to the top we have to actually climb like 200 mts.

We returned to the shelter. The day became really sunny, and the temperature went up considerably

That day i went around the park, up to Los Crestones and socialize with people inside the shelter. Its fun that there are people from all over the world, but somehow everyone understands each other regardless of the language they speak. Probably because we all share the same goal at that moment.

Inside the shelter, there is no hot water... the water comes straight from the nascent. Its the coldest water ive ever felt on me. So in order to take a bath I had to do some thinking first...There is only one phone. The phone line comes all th e way from the town, 15 Kms away,
from a line that is buried beneath the way. The electric energy comes from a solar panel which is connected to a car battery. The lights are on from 6pm to 8pm. After that there is complete darkness the rest of the night. I heard some coyotes in the distance and also some hunters...
i dont know how they go hunting there in the middle of the n ight... but well... thats their way of living i guess

Next day we started our way back....

Its definetively faster going back, but its way harder... my knees really felt the difference.... after 3.5 hours, we are back where we started 2 days ago.. only that only 2 of us got there in that time... the others took a lot more.... the last teammate last 3 more hours getting down.

Its really quite an experience. i planning in doing it again, only that this time i wanna know more places within the park...
