I grew up on The Oregon Coast north of Cannon Beach and south of Astoria in one of the best beach towns of Seaside, Oregon. I will travel to Oregon for the rest of my life, and I know I will experience new things every time. Some of the best places to camp in Oregon include Toketee Lake, the Green Mountain Campground, and Devil’s Lake State Recreation Area. Toketee Lake is located within Umpqua National Forest and features the venerable Toketee Lake Campground. This campground is only a few miles off from the Umpqua Hot Springs, which can be accessed by campers via a short walk along the North Umpqua Trail.
The Green Mountain Campground is one of the more secluded campgrounds located within the state of Oregon, and it features only six campsites! While these campsites don’t feature any hookups, the seclusion more than makes up for it. Finally, the Devil’s Lake Recreation Area is home to the Devil’s Lake Campground, which is the only coastal campground in Oregon that’s located within the boundaries of a city. The South Umpqua River runs through Roseburg and joins with the North Umpqua River just outside of town. Dense forests of Douglas fir, hemlock and cedar are peppered with rivers and streams. The family packed up and drove to Roseburg, Oregon for the Easter Weekend this year. It was really fun spending time with family doing Easter egg hunts, cooking, lounging, and flying. All but one of the filming locations are in Roseburg with the Georgia Pacific building being located in Sutherlin, one town north. Some highlights are the fish ladder, Mt. Explore Oregon Recreation: North Bank Habitat Management Area
Welcome to the North Bank Habitat Management Area. North Bank offers visitors the opportunity to hike, bike, and horseback ride on miles of roads and trails. With hidden creeks, high ridgelines, oak-savannah woodlands, and thickly forested canyons, the opportunities for wonderful views are nearly endless.
Two access points offer access into the heart of North Bank. At the Comstock day-use area, a pavilion, picnic tables, barbecue grill and vault toilet offers a superb venue for your post-outing picnic.
Know Before You Go:
• BLM-host on duty at main entrance.
• The main entrance gate is open Friday through Monday, 8am to 8pm.
• West Entrance: Can accommodate 4-5 horse trailers or 10 vehicles, and has a small informational kiosk.
• Comstock Day Use Area: Can accommodate 6-8 horse trailers and 8 vehicles.
• There is no potable water at North Bank so be sure to bring your own.
• North Bank is closed to all motorized use.
• Hunting is a popular activity in the fall. Use caution if recreating this time of year.
Directions:
Traveling North on I-5 from Roseburg, Take exit 129 toward Winchester/Wilbur. Turn left on 99. Turn Right onto North Bank Road. Travel approximately 6 miles and West Entrance is on your left. Continue on North Bank for approximately 6 miles and Comstock entrance is on your left. North Bank can also be accessed by Highway 138 right before you get to Glide.
Point of Interest:
North Bank has been set aside for the conservation of Columbian white-tailed deer habitat. Bring your binoculars and try and spot this elusive deer along with many other types of wildlife including black bear, cougar and fox.

Heading home from my work camping job on the Oregon coast. This was a beautiful early fall morning drive through Oregon and Northern California.
