বাংলাদেশের বিভিন্ন জায়গায় অসংখ্য দৃষ্টিনন্দন স্থাপনা ও স্থাপত্য আছে। যেগুলোর কোন কোনটি দেশের সীমানা পেরিয়ে বিশ্ব ঐতিহ্যে স্থান পেয়েছে। ওই সকল স্থাপনার বেশিরভাগই পুরাকীর্তি এবং প্রাচীন মোঘল বা বৃটিশ আমলের তৈরি। যেগুলো নির্মাণ করেছিলেন প্রাচীন শাসক কিংবা রাজা-বাদশারা। বর্তমানেও দেশে প্রতিনিয়ত হাজার হাজার স্থাপনা তৈরি হচ্ছে। কিন্ত সে তুলনায় মৌলিক শিল্পের সমন্বয়ে ব্যতিক্রম স্থাপনা হয়তো খুব বেশি না। আজকে আমি আপনাদের এমনি এক দৃষ্টিনন্দন মসজিদের কথা বলছি, যে মসজিদ বৈদ্যুতিক বাতি ছাড়াই প্রাকৃতিক আলোয় সব সময় উজ্জ্বল এবং ফর্সা থাকে। নজরকাড়া নকশায় নির্মিত মসজিদটি দেশের অন্যতম স্থাপনাগুলোর মধ্যে এক অন্য নজির।
