Drift ice is thick ice with a thickness of nearly 50 cm. Drift ice formed near the mouth of the Amur River in Russia can be seen in three areas along the Sea of Okhotsk coast of Hokkaido: Shiretoko, Abashiri, and Monbetsu. This time, I was able to see the drift ice from Monbetsu Port on the Garinko 2, and from Abashiri Port on the Aurora. However, the next day, the drift ice had already gone somewhere and was a capricious drift ice that could not be seen. If you can see drift ice, you are very lucky.
