Kerman was founded as a defensive outpost, with the name Veh-Ardashir, by Ardashir I, founder of the Sasanian Empire, in the 3rd century AD.] After the Battle of Nahāvand in 642, the city came under Muslim rule. At first the city's relative isolation allowed Kharijites and Zoroastrians to thrive there, but the Kharijites were wiped out in 698, and the population was mostly Muslim by 725. Already in the eighth century the city was famous for its manufacture of cashmere wool shawls and other textiles. The Abbasid Caliphate's authority over the region was weak, and power passed in the tenth century to the Buyid dynasty. The region and city fell to Mahmud of Ghazni in the late tenth century. The name Kerman was adopted at some point in the tenth century.

Borujerd (Persian: بروجرد) is a city and the capital of Borujerd County, Lorestan Province in western Iran. At the 2016 census, its population was 234,997 persons. Among the existing modern cities in Iran, Borujerd is one of the oldest reported at least since the 9th century. In Sassanid Empire, Borujerd was a small town and region neighboring Nahavand. Gaining more attention during Great Seljuq Empire in the 9th and 10th centuries, Borujerd stood as an industrial, commercial and strategic city in Zagros Mountains until the 20th century. In its golden ages, Borujerd was selected as the state capital of Lorestan and Khuzestan region during Qajar dynasty in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Nahavand (Persian: نهاوند, romanized: Nahāvand / Nehāvend) is a city in Hamadan Province, Iran. It is the capital of Nahavand County. At the time of the 2006 census, its population was 72,218, in 19,419 families. It is located south of the city of Hamadan, west of Malayer and northwest of Borujerd. Inhabited continuously since prehistoric times, Nahavand was bestowed upon the House of Karen in the Sasanian period. During the Muslim conquest of Persia, it was the site of the famous Battle of Nahavand.
Nahavand is situated in the west of Iran, in the northern part of the Zagros region. It lies c. 90 kilometers south of Hamadan, from which it is separated by the massif of the Alvand subrange. This massif grants Nahavand and its hinterlands an abundant water supply. Historically, Nahavand was located on a route that led from central Iraq through Kermanshah to northern Iran, and was therefore often crossed by armies. Another historic road, coming from Kermanshah, leads towards Isfahan in central Iran and avoids the Alvand massif. Nahavand also lies on the branch of the Gamasab river which comes from the southeast from the vicinity of Borujerd; from Nahavand the Gamasab river flows westwards to Mount Behistun. Given Nahavand's location, it was the site of several battles, and was considered important in Iranian history during Iran's wars with its western neighbors.

The Longest Suspension Bridge In The Middle East - Meshginshahr - Ardabil - IRAN #Shorts
Meshginshahr Suspension Bridge is one of the sights of Meshginshahr and the longest suspension bridge in the Middle East, which is located on the slopes of Sarfraz Sablan Mountain. This bridge is built with a height of 80 meters above the Khiauchai river and is two meters wide and 365 meters long.
Meshgin suspension bridge of Ardabil city was designed by Iranian engineers with local knowledge and built on a land of 130 hectares by Makan Shahr Abra company and opened in the spring of 2014. The designer of this bridge is engineer Ganj Ali Bey, who designed it with the inspiration of Canada's Capilanway Vancouver bridge.
پل معلق مشگین شهر یکی از جاهای دیدنی مشگین شهر و طولانیترین پل معلق خاورمیانه به شمار میرود که در دامنه کوه سرفراز سبلان جای گرفته است. این پل با ارتفاع ۸۰ متر بر بالای رودخانه خیاوچایی ساخته شده است و دو متر عرض و ۳۶۵ متر طول دارد.
پل معلق مشگین شهر اردبیل توسط مهندسان ایرانی و با دانش بومی طراحی و در زمینی به مساحت ۱۳۰ هکتار توسط شرکت مکان شهر ابرا اجرا و در بهار سال ۱۳۹۴ افتتاح شد. طراح این پل مهندس گنجعلی بیگ است که با الهام از پل «کاپیلانوی ونکوور» کانادا آن را طراحی کرد.

هَمِدان، یا به گویش محلی هِمِدان یکی از کلانشهرهای ایران در منطقهٔ غربی و کوهستانی ایران و مرکز شهرستان و استان همدان است. این شهر در دامنهٔ کوه الوند و در بلندای ۱٬۷۴۱ متری از سطح دریا واقع شدهاست و از شهرهای سردسیر ایران بهشمار میآید. همدان قدیمیترین شهر ایران و از کهنترین شهرهای جهان است. در سال ۱۳۸۵ مجلس شورای اسلامی در مصوبهای همدان را «پایتخت تاریخ و تمدن ایران» اعلام کرد. همدان اولین پایتخت نخستین شاهنشاهی ایران، مادها بودهاست. با این حال قدیمیترین آثار یافتشده از محوطهٔ باستانی هگمتانه و نیز کتیبههای گنجنامه مربوط به دوران هخامنشیان هستند. همچنین این شهر در روزگار هخامنشیان، اشکانیان، ساسانیان، آل بویه و سلجوقیان نیز یکی از پایتختهای کشور بودهاست. هماکنون استان همدان به دلیل داشتن مراکز تاریخی و دیدنی به عنوان پنجمین شهر فرهنگی و گردشگری کشور شناخته میشود و از نظر علمی نیز با وجود مراکز دانشگاه بوعلی سینا، دانشگاه صنعتی همدان، دانشگاه آزاد اسلامی واحد همدان، دانشگاه پیام نور همدان و مراکز دیگر، به عنوان یکی از قطبهای دانشگاهی کشور شناخته شدهاست. آرامگاه بوعلیسینا نماد شهر همدان و همچنین یکی از نمادهای پیشینهٔ ایران در فرهنگ جهان و دانش و علم بهشمار میرود.
نخستین باری که اسم این شهر برده شد، در حدود ۱۱۰۰ سال پیش از میلاد بود که نام همدان را اَمدانه ذکر شدهاست. این شهر تحت نامهای دیگری از قبیل هگمتانه، هگمتان، اکباتان، اکباتانا، آمدانه، آنادانا نیز نوشته شدهاست. در کتیبههای آرامی نو آشوریی نام آن شهر آمدانه آمده، این اسم بایستی مشتق از کلمهٔ ماد باشد چنانکه آشوریان قوم ماد را آمادای ذکر کردهاند. از این رو آمادانه به معنی محل مادها و جاییاست که مادها زندگی میکردند در دوران مادها به زبان پارسی باستان این شهر هگمتانه یا هگمتانه به معنی «جای تجمع» خوانده میشد. اکباتان نیز همان تلفظ هگمتانه به زبان یونانی است.نام هگمتانه به مرور زمان در دوران ساسانیان به اَهمتان، اَهمدان و سپس به همدان دگرگون شدهاست.همدان به گویش محلی هِمِدان خوانده میشود.
همدان در روزگار، ماد، هخامنشیان، اشکانیان، ساسانیان، آل بویه و سلجوقیان یکی از پایتختهای کشور بودهاست
این شهر از لحاظ جمعیت چهاردهمین شهر پرجمعیت ایران بهشمار میآید و در مرداد سال ۱۳۸۸ به عنوان یکی از کلانشهرهای ایران معرفی شد. در سالهای ۱۳۰۰ تا ۱۳۰۴ خورشیدی مهندس آلمانی کارل فریش طرحی مدرن را برای همدان طراحی کرد که از نوع نقشههای شعاعی محسوب میشود اما امروزه به دلیل تراکم جمعیت و طرح شعاعی، ترافیک مرکز شهر بسیار زیاد است. به این میدان ۶ خیابان اصلی شهر وصل شدهاند. شهرداری همدان در میدان آرامگاه بوعلی قرار دارد.

The Glassware and Ceramic Museum of Iran or simply Abgineh Museum is located at 30 Tir Street, in Tehran, Iran. It was private residence of longtime Prime Minister Ahmad Qavam from 1921 until 1951. The complex was also Embassy of Egypt for seven years

عمارت این موزه، خانهای تاریخی مربوط به دوره قاجار است و در تهران، خیابان سی تیر جای گرفتهاست. این اثر در تاریخ ۷ اردیبهشت ۱۳۷۷ با شمارهٔ ثبت ۲۰۱۴ بهعنوان یکی از آثار ملی ایران به ثبت رسیدهاست. موزه آبگینه موزه تخصصی شیشه و سفال است.
ساختمان موزه در دهه ۱۲۹۰ شمسی به عنوان یک خانه مسکونی برای احمد قوام بنا شد و سال ها منزل و دفتر کار وی بود. در سال ۱۳۱۱ این خانه به سفارت مصر فروخته شد و تا سال ۱۳۵۱ به عنوان سفارت مصر از آن استفاده می شد. لازم به ذکر است که در دهه ۴۰ شمسی رابطه سیاسی ایران و مصر قطع شد و این ساختمان نیز عملا خالی بود. با برقراری مجدد رابطه ایران و مصر در اوایل دهه ۵۰، مصری ها دوباره بازگشتند اما چون هزینه تعمیرات این مجموعه زیاد بود، بنابراین آن را به فروش گذاشتند. بانک بازرگانی ایران آن را در پاییز ۱۳۵۱ با مبلغ ۵ میلیون تومان خرید تا از آن به عنوان باشگاه کارکنان بانک استفاده کند. در سال ۱۳۵۵ دفتر فرح پهلوی این عمارت قاجاری را برای راه اندازی موزه خریداری کرد و با همکاری مهندسان ایرانی و اتریشی نوسازی و بهسازی آن آغاز شد.
طراحی این موزه به مهندسان ایرانی و طراحی ویترینها و معماری داخلی آن به هانس هولاین، معمار برجسته اتریشی سپرده شد. هولاین در طراحی موزه آبگینه از آثار برجسته تاریخی ایران مانند کاخ تچر، ستون های تخت جمشید، قوسهای صفوی و کعبه زرتشت الهام گرفتهاست. با اینکه ویترین ها و فضای کلی موزه به شیوه مدرن طراحی شدهاند، اما این طراحی مدرن به فضای کلی ساختمان آسیب نزده و در هماهنگی کامل با آن است

Ashura, an optional fast day for Muslims that commemorates different things for Sunnis and Shiites, falls on Nov. 13-14, 2013. The word itself, ashura, means 10, and the holiday is the 10th day of the Islamic month of Muharram. The Islamic calendar is lunar, so the date of Ashura can vary depending on sighting of the moon.
Ashura marks many things: the creation of the world, Noah's departure from the ark, Moses' flight from Egypt and the martyrdom of the Prophet Muhammad's grandson, Hussein ibn Ali, in 680 A.D.
