LEGENDA - Źródełko Miłości
Średniowieczna Legenda
Dawno, dawno temu w czasach krzyżackich jeden z mieszkańców dawnego Sensburga podczas zwyczajowego uiszczania podatków dał poborcowi złotego dukata, oczekując, że ten odda mu resztę. Wydarzenie to rozeszło się szerokim echem po mieście, bo gdzież biedak mógł zdobyć taka monetę?! Okradł kogoś, może zabił? Pojmano go i siłą chciano uzyskać odpowiedź. Biedak przyznał, ze znalazł monetę nad brzegiem jeziora Czos w miejscu znanym jako Świerkowy Wąwóz. Gdy rozeszła się o tym wiadomość, kto zdrów szedł z łopatą kopać w tamtym miejscu, bo przecież monety nie leżą nigdy same w ziemi. Miasto opustoszało. Szybko przekopano całe wzgórze i niczego nie znaleziono. Z czasem pozostał już tylko jeden starzec. Gdy miał już zaniechać poszukiwań, rozejrzał się po okolicy i się zadumał: „Wszędzie już przekopano te wzgórze, ale nie u podnóża, nad brzegiem jeziora!”. Wbił w to miejsce łopatę i nagle wytrysnęła woda, oblewając starca! Ten obawiając się, by nie zachorować udał się szybko do domu. Miał przecież reumatyzm, tak częsty na Mazurach, a po tak dużym wysiłku pewnie jeszcze będą bolały go mięśnie. Następnego dnia, gdy się obudził, nie dość, że zdrów to jeszcze czuł się jak młodzieniec. Cóż mogło to sprawić?! Oczywiście woda ze Źródełka. Od tego czasu mieszkańcy miasta spacerowali brzegiem jeziora do Źródełka Miłości i pili wodę dla zdrowia i lepszego samopoczucia. Z czasem powstał w tym miejscu ładny, kamienny podest z ławeczkami.
