1 trout, 3 people, 7 days, 7 lakes, a drone crashed, an air filter drowned, one recovery, a closed border, 0 fish fished and a lot of laughs and good food. 3 friends having a lot of fun.

Last week we entered Argentina again and we finally made it to the legendary region of Patagonia. We reunited with our kiwi traveller friend Tom and together we head for a week of adventures in the Lake district of Argentina. This is such a nice feeling to be back with a friend, especially in a region like the Lake District with so many adventure opportunities.

Next week we hopefully manage to cross the border to Chili despite the snow and we go discover the superb island of Chiloe. To be sure you do not miss what is coming up next, do not forget to subscribe to the channel.

Until next week, take care.

🇺🇸English🇺🇸
Let's walk around Ushuaian neighborhoods!
This time, it's Monte Gallinero and a little bit of 'second downtown'.

📝 Summary🤓
🔸Peat bogs:
They are ecosystems that contain dead organic matter, derived from plants that have adapted to live in conditions of abundant water and little oxygen and nutrients.
They grew over thousands of years, several meters deep.
Are a source of paleoenvironmental information, and in Tierra del Fuego they are considered practically unique in the world due to their hydrological characteristics, floristic nature and value as an ecosystem.
They function as data banks; Sometimes it is possible to obtain an uninterrupted record that, by means of the Carbon 14 technique.
Since 1800, the total number has decreased mainly due to the activities of the human being.
About 95% of Argentina's peat bogs are found in Tierra del Fuego Province, Antarctica and the South Atlantic Islands, and they represent the southernmost concentration of peat bogs in the world.
Source:

It should be noted that the peat grows one millimeter per year.

🔸Murga:
The murga is a music-theatrical genre developed in different countries of Latin America and Spain.
In Argentina, in most of the provinces, carnival is lived (40 days before Easter) with the murga, for about a week.
It began to be celebrated as of the 1600, mixture of Spanish legacy and the candombe danced by the black slaves.
The murgueros usually dance with a suit that mock the old suits of etiquette (for example fracs) with high hat (johns) enormous and of variegated and happy colors.
The greater murga concentration is usually in Capital Federal (Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.) Each neighborhood has one or more murgas.
Large and small participate in it, and they are neither professional dancers nor percussionists.
If you visit Buenos Aires, I recommend visiting the carnivals. Many of them have a strength and a rhythm that is only worth living in person to really appreciate them.
Take a look on youtube for the following murgas: Los mismos de siempre and La locura de Boedo

📝 Glosario🤓
🔸Turbal:

Plaza Lavalle - Buenos Aires - Argentina - walking tour 2023 #buenosaires #argentina

Plaza Lavalle is a three-block green space in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is located in the San Nicolás neighborhood, surrounded by Libertad, Lavalle, Talcahuano and Córdoba avenues.
It took its final name by municipal ordinance of September 16, 1878, in memory of Juan Lavalle. Lavalle was a hero of the Independence, of the Brazilian War and protagonist of the civil wars, in which he was especially questioned for having shot Manuel Dorrego. The name of the square itself was due to the persistence of hatred between unitarians and federals generated during the internal struggles, since the square that existed in front of the Dorrego family mansion was named after Lavalle. , the Miró Palace, which was located in the block currently bounded by Viamonte, Libertad, Córdoba and Talcahuano streets. For decades the Dorrego family covered the windows that overlooked the square so that the column erected in memory of Lavalle could not be seen from the mansion. The palace was demolished in 1937 and that space was razed to expand the square without it being decorated in any way, thus giving rise to the north block of it.
In 1867 the first merry-go-round that Buenos Aires had was installed. He came from Germany and stayed for three years. It was driven by a horse.
