Mount Mitchell - North Carolina State Park & the scenic drive to the highest peak in Eastern USA
Mt Mitchell is the highest peak of the Appalachian Mountains, and the highest peak in eastern North America within the Mount Mitchell State Park, a North Carolina State Park. It is located in western North Carolina off the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway. This is one of those State Parks where you can drive to the parking lot at the top then hike a very short distance on a paved but steep 980-foot trail. It is kid, elderly, stroller, and wheelchair friendly trail. But there are about 22 trails in Mt. Mitchell State Park rated easy to hard, and from a 0.4 to 18.1 mile-distance, There is a Natural History Museum, and gift shop, picnic areas, camping areas, and a Restaurant that is currently closed for renovation but will open in 2022. Mt. Mitchell State Park is worth a visit this year, and onwards.

The North American B-25 Mitchell is an American medium bomber that was introduced in 1941 and named in honor of Brigadier General William Billy Mitchell, a pioneer of U.S. military aviation.[2] Used by many Allied air forces, the B-25 served in every theater of World War II, and after the war ended, many remained in service, operating across four decades. Produced in numerous variants, nearly 10,000 B-25s were built.[1] These included several limited models such as the F-10 reconnaissance aircraft, the AT-24 crew trainers, and the United States Marine Corps' PBJ-1 patrol bomber.

Today takes us to one of the stranger things to see in the USA, the corn palace of Mitchell, Iowa. This place is incredible, an enormous building covered in corn on the cob murals and artwork. It has a basketball stadium inside, which I take the opportunity to practice my layups! Also in the town is a bible museum, which is even more strange than a palace made of corn. This town is awesome!
