Did you know that there is a town in Mexico that was strongly influenced by British mining activity? Culture, technology, football and even food were brought here many years ago. Weekend trip to Real del Monte & Pachuca
Real del Monte, or officially Mineral de Monte, is a small mining town with big history. It has produced 6% off all world's silver in the last 500 years!
We had a chance to visit the place over the weekend by taking a bus from Mexico City.
Thanks to the Cornish miners who restarted the mining in the 19th century, the colorful town still holds many features of Cornish influence, like the local paste, architecture and multiple descendants of the miners.
For anyone living close to Pachuca, Real de Monte is a great place to spend the weekend and enjoy the local, unique culture.

OAXACA, MEXICO | The Perfect Oaxaca Travel Itinerary (Coast to the Mountains in 2-3 weeks)
Oaxaca lies in the southwest of Mexico. It’s made up of a vast coastline and rugged mountains, with narrow valleys, canyons and ravines between them. Oaxaca is best known for its unique cuisine as well as its indigenous people and cultures. The largest indigenous groups are the Zapotecs and the Mixtecs, but there are sixteen groups that are officially recognized. These cultures have survived better than most others in Mexico thanks to the state's isolating terrain and commitment to honoring traditions. In this video, we will show you the perfect Oaxaca itinerary. This itinerary is recommended for at least a 14 day stay in Oaxaca and can be completed by public transportation, rental car, or a mix of both!

How to get here: Direct flights from Mexico City and Guadalajara
Recommended stay: 3-5 days

MINE EXPLORATION IN MINERAL DEL CHICO | TRAVEL HIDALGO
MINERAL DEL CHICO is the next stop in my short trip through the Magic Towns in the state of Hidalgo. This is very cozy and beautiful little town surrounded by mountains. Mineral Del Chico was created as mining town, as mountains around are rich for natural resources. There were a couple of hundred mines operating in the area. One of the most interesting part of visiting Mineral Del Chico was exploration of the caves, which are open for the tours.
This video is a part of following video below, where I visited Magic towns Real Del Monte & Huasca and The Waterfall Prismas Basalticos:

Las Grutas de Tolantongo may be Hidalgo's best secret - mountainside thermal water pools, caves, and a turquoise river!
►Subscribe to our channel!
It's our first time in the Mexican state of Hidalgo and we're driving deep into a canyon to experience the thermal water pools and mysterious Grutas de Tolantongo. We could not have been more excited to experience the magic of this canyon paradise in person and it did not disappoint. Despite the cold temperatures in Hidalgo at this time of year, we happily soaked in the therapeutic properties of the thermal waters in the mountain.
In this Mexico travel vlog, we also experience the turquoise-colored river of Tolantongo. We found out that it has this beautiful color because of the minerals in the water. On our last day in Grutas de Tolantongo, we made the grand finale a trip to the main gruta, or grotto in English. Again, Tolantongo did not disappoint us with this mysterious cave filled with the source of the warm thermal waters. It was the perfect experience for another cold morning in Hidalgo.
Also in this travel Mexico vlog, we include:
1. How much hotels cost at Grutas de Tolantongo
2. Entry fees and parking prices in Tolantongo
3. Tips for visiting Grutas de Tolantongo Hidalgo
4. Important information for traveling to Tolantongo
5. What we will do differently when we return to this canyon paradise.
This was one of those Mexico experience that really made us say, WOW, Mexico is amazing and it never ceases to amaze us. Does this Mexico travel vlog make you want to visit? If you get the chance, we highly recommend visiting Grutas de Tolantongo and we don't think you'll be sorry you did.
