STOP ONE: MUSÉE DE LA REDDITION

Welcome to the Musée de la Reddition, a significant site in global history. This building was once the headquarters for General Dwight D. Eisenhower during WWII. It was here, on May 7, 1945, where Germany officially surrendered, ending WWII in Europe. The museum showcases the War Room, left as it was since the day of the surrender. Can you imagine? In this room, decisions that shaped the course of history were made.
You'll find numerous exhibits depicting the lives of soldiers and civilians during the war. Original maps, photos, and documents provide a snapshot of the era. The museum also houses a remarkable collection of military uniforms and weaponry. There's an educational film about the end of the war, shown in the old projection room.
Remarkably, the museum operates in the same school where American soldiers once billeted. Musée de la Reddition is a poignant reminder of the gravity of war and the relief of peace. A visit here is an evocative step back into a world-changing event.

Behold the grandeur of the Notre-Dame of Reims, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture. Did you know this cathedral has witnessed the crowning of 25 French kings? Its construction began in 1211 and took almost a century to complete.

Ballade à Gavarnie
Belle journée ,non pas par le temps malheureusement, mais par ce que la nature nous offre !
Malgré de gros orages la nuit, malgré un ciel chargé en journée et malgré le manque de visibilité sur le Cirque de Gavarnie,et bien,la rencontre fortuite avec ce troupeau de moutons et de brebis sur la route a fait notre journée !
Mais ce n'était que partie remise,car deux jours plus tard, le temps s'est remis au beau sur le Cirque, j'en ferais une vidéo.....à suivre....
