How to Spend 36 Hours in Cabrera, RD: Grampa Paul & G Visit

In today’s video we're going to take you on a journey to the Dominican Republic, where Grandpa Paul and G came to visit us while we were living down there as Expats while our kids’ attended the Human Hive WorldSchool Hub.
Although their original plan was to stay for three nights and two full days, they missed their flight to Punta Cana, and their trip was shortened to just one full day in Cabrera. But we made the most of it and showed them some of our favorite spots in town. 🙂
On the first evening they arrived, we took them to Scott’s favorite beach – Orchid Bay. The kids played in the water & collected sea glass while the grandparents took in the views.
The next morning, we hit the ground running as this was our only full day to spend with the Grandparents while they were on the island. We took them for a walk by the Malecon, or the boardwalk, and they got to meet Scott’s buddy, Ricky, who he actually re-met on the island after attending the same high school together back in Baltimore, MD.
We then took them for an adventure to a Secret Beach. The hike wraps around the edgy coastline, overlooking some beautiful mansions on one side and the open Atlantic ocean on the other side. We had the secret beach all to ourselves!
Although Grandpa Paul and G's trip was short, we were so happy to have been able to show them some of our favorite spots in Cabrera. We hope you enjoyed seeing the beauty of this town through our eyes and the experiences.

Reasonable size building lots with un-blockable panoramic views, the best amenities, peaceful & safe surroundings. Permit me to add in a couple of additional features like... the location must be minutes to town while driving on top quality paved roads. If this is what you've been looking for reach out. A while back I had some time to kill so I thought I’d head out to Playa Grande for lunch and while there visit its neighbor Playa Preciosa. For those who’ve not been here for a while things have really changed. There’s been an upgrade would be putting it mildly. It’s pretty much our one stop shop when it comes to full service at reasonable prices. Check out the menu and see for yourself. Considering you’re on one of the highest ranked beaches in the world featuring great service in an uncrowded atmosphere all at very affordable prices sets the bar at a level few can compete with. We love living in a peaceful low density town so close to several similar beaches. Kind of gives us a reality check every time we’re on one of them. I have to recommend the parrot fish and garlic shrimp. Both are excellent and will only set you back about ten bucks.
