10 Best Places to Visit in the USA! 2021

The U.S.A. is massive, almost as big as Europe and just as varied. From snow-capped mountains to vast desert plains, and from bustling cities to untouched countryside, there's so much to choose from that it's hard to decide just where to go. But never fear, Destination Tips is here, to help you decide!

New Orlean's.
If you're looking for a unique urban experience, then New Orleans is the city for you. Its world-famous cuisine, the french quarter, Mardi gras carnival, music festivals, and laid-back atmosphere are immersive and addictive and definitely something you won't regret experiencing.

New York.
New York had to appear on this list because it has everything, Iconic Buildings like the empire state building, beautiful parks like central park, ethnic areas like little Italy and Chinatown, the statue of liberty, times square, and so much more! if you plan to go to New York, try to stay for a few days so you don't have to rush your sightseeing and don't believe the hype! A New York Hot Dog is a thoroughly underwhelming experience!

what do you think about the New York (Not so)Hot dog? comment below!

San Antonio.
Most famous for The Alamo but San Antonio has a lot more to offer. The River Walk follows the San Antonio River as it meanders through the city, lined with shops, bars, and restaurants you can walk or bike along the path whilst listening to the sound of the local Spanish flamenco music. San Antonio also has a 33 acre botanical garden, a zoo, Seaworld, and multiple museums, including the Texas Rangers Museum!

Savannah.
Victorian architecture, coastal islands, beautiful parks and squares, and cobbled streets offer a unique experience bathed in southern charm and hospitality. Enjoy award-winning southern cooking, Leopold's Ice cream, or take a cruise on the riverboat where you can dine, brunch, or enjoy a moonlight party after watching the sunset.

Los Angeles.
Another city that had to appear on the list was L.A. not because it's an especially nice city, high crime rate and air population are among its many problems, but because it has so many things to see. Hollywood Boulevard, The Hollywood sign, Walt Disney concert hall, Venice beach, countless movie studios, the oldest McDonalds restaurant, the walk of fame, Echo park, and of course, the infamous Skid row! ......No, Wait! probably best to avoid that last one!

Sedona.
If you are looking for something a little less urbanized and a bit more spiritual then Sedona is a great place to visit. Nestled within an array of red sandstone formations that give the town an otherworldly glow when the sun hits them. There are hundreds of hiking trails and mountain bike routes for you to explore and numerous festivals are celebrated throughout the year, including a food truck festival, an international film festival, and the summer and winter solstice festivals.

Yellowstone.
Yellowstone Park is enormous! so the number of hiking and biking routes it has is also enormous, but apart from that, Yellowstone has a lot more to offer. Camping, boating, fishing, and other outdoor activities are possible all year round. Over half of the world's Geysers are located in Yellowstone so they are well worth a visit, apart from Old Faithful it also has Grand Geyser (the world's tallest predictable geyser) and Giant Geyser (the world's most voluminous geyser).

San Diego.
If you're looking for a comfortable climate, beaches, and city life then San Diego is worth a visit. In addition to its beaches and harbor, San Diego has a Zoo and Safari park, a SeaWorld, sport fishing, amusement parks, and a large Craft Beer brewing industry, it even has a beer festival in November called San Diego Beer Week

Aspen.
If you'd rather have snow than sand, or prefer mountains to the sea then Aspen should be on your list. Host of the winter X-games, Aspen has 4 different ski areas, Aspen Highlands, Ajax Mountain, Snowmass, and Buttermilk. Aspen isn't just for visiting in the winter though, in the summer, White river national park offers plenty of outdoor activities and The Aspen Music Festival and School offer over 400 classical music events throughout the summer.

Hawaii.
Hawaii is one of the world's favorite holiday destinations, and it's easy to see why, a dry tropical climate and beautiful beaches, contrast with a wet tropical climate in its incredible mountain terrain and its cuisine, that is an amalgamation of many cultures, contrasts with the dominant presence of its own indigenous Hawaiian culture and folk music. A truly spectacular place that is definitely worth a visit!

10 Best Places to Visit in Wyoming - Travel Video

Check out all the places seen in this video:
With nearly half of Wyoming designated as public land, the Cowboy State is the ideal destination for anyone who wants to explore the dramatic natural beauty of the American West. The most sparsely populated state in the Union, Wyoming is filled with spectacular landscapes, ranging from the thermal geysers of Yellowstone to the jagged mountain peaks of Grand Teton. The mountainous state is rightfully proud of its Wild West heritage too. Whether watching a bronco-busting rodeo or rollicking the night away at a country-music dance hall, it’s clear that cowboy culture is alive and well in Wyoming.

NYC Travel Tips: 10 Things to Know Before You Go to New York City

Things YOU need to know before you travel to New York City. NYC consists of 5 Boroughs, Manhattan, the most famous and dense is also the smallest. Brooklyn is the most populated, with 2.6 million residents (total of 8.5M in NYC). Queens is the largest, and “most ethnically diverse” county in the US. Bronx is the northenmost and the only one that is part of the US Mainland. Staten Island is the most suburban

✅ Get up to 40% off hotels in NYC by signing up here:

Manhattan is BIG -- don’t expect to walk the whole thing in a day
5 days is probably the sweet spot. No less than 3 days.

Wear comfortable shoes
Girls: Sex and the City says everybody walks in heels all the time -- not so much.
Don’t try and walk everywhere, the subway is there for a reason.

NYC is Expensive! Everything costs more here.
The city runs on tips

New Yorkers aren’t really rude.. They are just efficient.

Expect to pay to use a bathroom, there really aren’t many good public toilets

Weather
For about 8 months out of the year it is chilly. And, for about 3 months it’s just plain miserable. Be prepared for really cold and windy, or really hot, humid, and muggy. Be prepared to rain always.

Summer: Highs 84F/29C Lows: 68F/20C (July)
Winter: Highs: 38F/3C - Lows 25F/-4C (January)

Winter Footwear -- puddles the size of small lakes
Layers

Best months: September, October, May and June

Getting in

Airports
LaGuardia (M80 Bus)
JFK (Airtrain to Howard Beach then catch the subway)
Newark (30 mins on Amtrak or NJ Transit)
Beware of unnoficial cabs

Trains -- to Penn Station or Grand Central. Grand Central is amazing.
Megabus if you’re on the east coast
Driving -- if you do drive in… just plan to park and leave your car for the duration of your stay.

Transportation in NYC

The Subway mostly runs north south… east and west you’ll be walking it
If you’re in NYC for awhile, get a week or month long Subway pass
Avoid the empty subway car, it’s empty for a reason. Hot or smelly.
Don’t lean on the subway poles… more people can hold on to it
Pay attention to the local, or express trains.
Get in the subway at the correct entrance, going the right direction, and for the right line

There are tons of yellow taxis… but they are notoriously hard to hail in bad weather
Flagship city for Uber, Lyft. But traffic is slow.
If you’re running late, don’t take a taxi. You WILL get stuck in traffic.

Walking -- don’t drop in the middle of the sidewalk

Ferrys for a different way to get around
NYC Ferry - East River route for some of the best views

Citi Bikes -- 10,000 bikes and 600 stations -- Download the citi bike app - $12/day
Bus Tours -- skip it

Times Square

Crowded, chaotic, dazzling and overpriced
Is really small -- and there’s not much to do once you get there.
Whatever you do, don’t eat here. The food is overpriced and mediocre due to high rent.

Broadway Shows
Book way ahead of time
There’s a vibrant “Off-Broadway” Scene
Book of Mormon and Avenue Q are my favorites
Check out the TKTs booth for cheap tickets or online now

Parks (Central Park & the High Line)
Central Park Is really big -- and no subway across
Central Park is 800 Acres
Strawberry Fields, Sheep’s Meadow, ice skating rinks.
Visit the High Line on a weekday to avoid the crowds

Big Apple Attractions
Statue of Liberty -- book ahead of time
Cant get tix for the Statue of Liberty, ride the Staten Island Ferry for free!
Empire State Building -- Long Lines
Top of the Rock is really cool -- great views of the Empire State
New WTC Observatory
9/11 Memorial ($2 Reservation Fee
Museum of Modern Art
Metropolitan Museum of Art
American Museum of Natural History (Suggested Admission)
Chelsea Market
New York Public Library
Flatiron Building
Shopping along 5th Avenue

Hotels
Expensive!
Save some money by staying in Queens, Brooklyn, or Staten Island
If money is no object -- the Park Hyatt is amazing
Marriott Marquis on Times Square in the middle of it all

Food
Food carts and trucks can be really good
The Halal Guys is a “must eat”
Grimaldi’s Pizza (In Brooklyn under the bridge) and Lomardis in Little Italy
Pastrami on Rye
Shake Shack started here
Chinatown Get noodles at Xi’an Famous Foods (location in Chinatown)
Bagels with Lox
New York Hotdogs from Gray’s Papaya
New York Cheesecake

San Francisco Travel Tips: 11 Things to Know Before You Go

Things YOU need to know before YOU go to San Francisco in California. San Francisco is the 4th most populated city in California and has a population of 800,000 people. San Francisco is known for year round fog, the golden gate bridge, cable cars, Victorian Houses, sweeping bay views, and of course Alcatraz. One of America's most unique & distinctive cities.

✅ Get up to 40% off hotels in San Francisco by signing up here:

2 - Weather

I refer to San Francisco as the foggy city.
Mark Twain’s famous quote: “The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco.”
The weather varies by hour, and by neighborhood. It could be 70 degrees and Sunny in one spot, and 50 degrees with pea-soup fog in the other.
September and October are the warmest and sunniest months.
Wear layers you can easily remove.

3 - Food:
Clam Chowder & Sourdough Bread
Seafood at Fisherman’s Wharf
Little Italy
Chinatown
Koi Palace by San Francisco Airport
Ferry Building for lot’s of local food.
Cowgirl creamery has good cheese.
Ghirardelli for chocolate and ice cream

4 - Hotels:
SF can be quite expensive
Weekends are often cheaper
I like Union Square. Most central, you can take the BART here. Cable car, street cars.
2nd choice: Embarcadero
I dont like fishermans wharf.. too touristy.
Definitely stay within the city.. dont be crossing the bay.

5 - Getting In:
3 Major Airports: SFO, OAK, SJC

SFO is 15 miles South of the city.
A strip of TARMAC surrounded by water.
The main airport, the major airlines all fly here.
Prone to weather delays (FOG)
Taxi or uber will cost about $60 and take between 25-60mins.
BART: $10 to Union Square and 35 mins. BART makes 4 stops in Downtown SF.

Oakland is 25 miles from SF, across the bay. Less foggy, so less delays. Good if you are visiting Napa. Lots of Southwest flights.

San Jose
60 miles south of SF. Good if you are visiting Santa Cruz, Monterey, or Carmel. You can do a one way rental car and return to SFO.

6 - Getting Around:
Cable Car: San Francisco classic from 1873. It’s amazing they still run these.

Best place to ride… on the outside! Want to stop… just yell out you want to stop!

7 - POPOS:
What’s a Popo? Privately owned public open spaces.
They come in the form of urban gardens, plazas, but the best ones are on rooftops.

Neither obvious nor clearly marked, POPOS are all over downtown San Francisco—and everyone is welcome

8 - Chinatown:
SF has the largest Chinatown outside of Asia. It's also the oldest in North America. It is around one mile long by one and a half miles wide. Covers 24 square blocks. More than 100,000 people live in Chinatown. It's the most densely populated neighborhood in the city and in fact the most densely population neighborhood in the US west of Manhattan.

It really is a city within the city. Chinatown has it's own customs, languages, places of worship, social clubs, and identity.

Lots of great Dim sum joints, bakeries, tea shops, and this is where the American fortune cookie was invented.

More visitors come to Chinatown than the Golden Gate Bridge.

Portsmouth Square bustles with activity such as T'ai Chi and old men playing Chinese chess.

9 - Fisherman’s Wharf:
Probably the most touristy part of San Francisco, particularly because it’s next to the Golden Gate Bridge.
Alcatraz Tours leave from here. Book in advance. More about that in a bit.
Visit Boudin, Ghirardelli Chocolate Factory, and In-N-Out Burger.
They invested the Irish Coffee in the 1950’s at Buena Vista Cafe here.
And of course the Sea Lions
My favorite place is the arcade

10 - Alcatraz:
Probably the most famous prison in the US.
home to some of America’s most notorious criminals, Operated here from 1934 to 1963.

11 - Day Trips
Napa
Santa Cruz
Monterey / Carmel

3 nights in SF, 2 nights in Napa, 2 nights in Monterey/Santa Cruz, and maybe add a night or 2 in Silicon Valley if you are a tech nerd.

LEAVENWORTH, WA | 10 Awesome Things to Do In & Around Leavenworth

Leavenworth is a charming Bavarian-themed village at the center of Washington State, located 117 miles to the east of Seattle. Leavenworth is a popular weekend getaway for Seattle residents as well as tourists from afar and is arguably one of the most beautiful places in Washington State. In this video, we break down 10 awesome things to do in and around Leavenworth.

😴 WHERE WE STAYED IN LEAVENWORTH:
- Mrs. Andersons Lodging:
- FairBridge Inn:

10. Indulge in the German cuisine
There are many restaurants that serve German beer, bratwurst, and pretzels. Our favorite places in town include the “Rhein Haus” for its pretzels and German Beer, and the “München Haus” for its bratwurst.

9. Lake Wenatchee
Lake Wenatchee is about 30 minutes away and is a fun place to explore. During the winter, you can go cross-country skiing around the lake. In summertime, it’s a great place to go for a swim or relax at the beach.

8. Hike the Icicle Ridge Trail
The Icicle Ridge Trail is an easy to moderate hike and a must-do when you’re in Leavenworth. It takes roughly 90 mins to reach the beautiful lookout point, with views of the town and surrounding peaks.

7. Take a walk downtown
With its Alpine-style architecture, it’s an experience in itself to simply walk downtown. Leavenworth is fairly small, but it’s so picturesque that you can easily spend a few hours roaming around. Most of the action takes place in Front Street, which is lined with souvenir shops, bars, wine testing rooms, and restaurants. You can also find two museums here: the Nutcracker museum and the Greater Leavenworth Museum.

6. Lake Chelan
About a one-hour drive to the east of Leavenworth, Lake Chelan is a 50 mile long pristine lake. It’s perfect for summer activities, such as boating, fishing, swimming, and kayaking.

5. Explore the waterfront
Leavenworth’s waterfront park can easily be explored on foot. There are many trails that wind through the park, offering beautiful vistas of both the river and the mountains.

4. Go wine tasting
Leavenworth is home to many wineries that host tasting rooms. Our favorite one is the Icicle Ridge Winery, which has two tasting rooms in downtown Leavenworth. But for a more idyllic setting, it’s also possible to taste wine at their log home tasting room in nearby Peshastin.

🍷 Icicle Ridge Winery:

3. The Peshastin Pinnacles
The Peshastin Pinnacles state park is about a 15 minute drive from Leavenworth. A grouping of tooth-like sandstone rocks stand tall here against the vineyards and golden hills of the Wenatchee Valley.

2. Colchuck day hike
Colchuck is known as the most beautiful lake near Leavenworth, if not in all of Washington State. The hike is about 8 mi round trip with 2280 ft of elevation gain, and takes between 4.5 to 6 hours total.

1. The Enchantments hike
As if Colchuck Lake alone weren’t enough beauty, it is also one of the two gateways to the magical Enchantments area. This hike is extremely tough if done in a day as it is more than 20 mi end-to-end. However, getting to these awe-inspiring alpine lakes is absolutely worth it. You can also break up your journey by camping, but must get lucky in the lottery system if you want to stay overnight in the area.
