Maitland was a great place to visit so many different areas to explore. I had great fun taking photos and even joining a birthday celebration. It was in the 1850s that this was the second largest city in NSW Australia. And it has had regular floods which have been recorded since 1806

In this trip we head out to Cessnock and see some great sites and then move onto Nundel and venture round Hanging Rock and Tamworth then we head to Woolbrook and sie see around Walcha.
There is lots to see and do and we had a ball, come and join us and share our adventure of this great country of ours.

Heysen Trail Days 1-3: Parachilna to Wilpena Pound

First steps on the Heysen Trail heading southbound from Parachilna towards Cape Jarvis.
Days 1 to 3 took me from the Priarie Hotel in Parachilna to Wilpena Pound. I should have known better and tested all gear before leaving home but chanced it. Turns out my trusty Sawyer water filter was stuffed and my shoes were too small.

Branxton Park, Branxton NSW

203. Branxton Park in Branxton NSW is a great free camp location for seeing the Hunter Valley region. It is approx an hour drive west from Newcastle.

It is located on old sports grounds and offers fantastic facilities with a clean toilet block and a separate dump point.

There is water also available and you can stay for up to 72 hours.

It is pet friendly. I had good Telstra and Vodafone coverage.

There's an IGA within easy walking distance.

Cost to stay is Free.

Our stay was 23rd November 2018
