2. Krupa River
Krupa river is 2.5-kilometer-long and runs on the Southeast side of Slovenia, sourced by a karst spring. The river has the characteristics of a canyon, and it offers a relaxing setting with its crystal blue water and rocky mountainsides.

The Krupa Spring is a little corner of paradise. The Monastery on Krupa River is also a major attraction for trekkers as it preserves the cultural and religious values of the reign of King Milutin.

3. Soča River
One of the most beautiful sights to see in Europe is the Soca River, with its emerald green sparkling water. The river meanders into cascades and waterfalls creating a beautiful spectacle for its visitors.

If you’re looking for a bit of adventure, you can go kayaking, rafting, canoeing, camping, zip-lining, paragliding. If you’re looking for a relaxing activity, you can go fishing.

Soca Valley offers many amazing gorges where you can enjoy a picnic while enjoying the views. The river flows through the Triglav National Park, one of the off-the-beaten-path destinations in Slovenia.

How to Spend a Day in Koper - Our 3 Minute Guide

Koper in Slovenia 🇸🇮 is a hidden gem at the head of the Adriatic. Nestling in the gulf of Trieste this former Venetian Citadel was formerly an island just off the coast of what is now Slovenia. These days the land between the mainland and the island has been recialmed but there are plenty of remnants of the originl citadel.

The cruise dock is so close to the medieval town its a short 400m walk right into the centre of town. Highlights incude the loggia, Praetorian Palace, the Da Ponte Fountain, the cathedral and the bell tower. All within easy walking distance and easy to cram into your time ashore.

Thee is a small but lovely beach and the towns ambience is divine. It’great just to sit and enjoy a meal and some beer.

This is some place. We’d never heard of it until this cruise and its simply lovely.

GAME OF THRONES: RIHEMBERK CASTE, SLOVENIA

ONE OF THE MOST MYSTERIOUS AND INSPIRING SLOVENIAN CASTLES
One of the most mysterious and Inspiring Slovenian castles
Discovering the medieval world can be magical! We had the opportunity to discover Rihemberk Castle, which stands on the steep Golec hill above the Branica valley and the village of Branik and is considered one of the most beautiful and oldest castles in Primorska. For centuries, it has watched over the edge of the Vipava Valley and, behind its thick walls, guarded the stories that have shaped the places and people of this part of Europe. A walk among them inspires respect for history and for those whose concern is to preserve memory and tradition. Today, it is ruled by bats – new castle owners – and the rich content for visitors is created by the Zavod SVITAR.
Would you like to find the nobleman in you? Richemberk is the perfect place for that!

Vipava Valley, Slovenia

✨Absolute Gold List | Eco-friendly Escapes 2022

Sandwiched between Italy and Croatia, Slovenia is often overlooked, but this hidden gem of a country has many wonderful charms up its sleeve. Grand old cities with stunning architecture, pine-covered countryside, the soaring Julian Alps, the lovely Adriatic coastline, glacial rivers, ancient forests, and emerald lakes. With its 60% green cover, Slovenia is blessed with glorious natural landscapes.

But what really puts Slovenia on the Green map is the food! The Climavore Diet followed here encourages the use of local food suppliers and dishes with low food miles, for the least environmental impact. Not to mention, the fresh grub in this foodie hotspot is absolutely delicious! It’s no wonder Slovenia is home to so many Michelin restaurants.

✨ Head to the link in bio to enjoy an idyllic European holiday in Slovenia.

Vipava Valley: Slovenia's beautiful hidden treasure

It's less than an hour's drive from Slovenia's capital, Ljubljana, yet the Vipava Valley hasn't really registered on the tourist radar.
This lusciously fertile region that stretches west to the Italian border has a magical combination of exceptionally fine wine and food, dramatic karst landscapes and medieval castles towering over pretty villages.
It even has its own microclimate -- a little taste of the Mediterranean wedged between limestone mountains. It's a place made for outdoor adventures -- on foot, on two wheels or on a paraglider floating above the valley.
Here are some of the unmissable sights of the Vipava Valley, for when it's safe to visit.
