SYDNEY'S MOST BEAUTIFUL - Discover The Shire

My favourite place in Sydney! The Sutherland Shire! This is a visual through the events of 1 full day (and 1 night) in the Shire.

I was torn between voicing over the video and just letting the visuals and sound tell the story, I ended up opting for the later.

Locations in order are:

- Sunrise surf at Garie Beach (which by the way has some of the best most relaxed surfing in Sydney!)
- Scuba Diving at Kurnell with the Weedy Sea Dragons and some incredible coral gardens
- Coffee and food at Zimzala on Cronulla Beach overlooking the surf, and
- Camping in the Royal National Park to watch the stars!

While I have actually been working and producing content for the Sutherland Shire Council's Tourism department, this video is not part of or sponsored in any way by the Council. I have a range of scuba diving videos that are coming soon, showcasing some of the Sutherland Shire's best underwater sites (and they're incredible!), but this video is just something I threw together as a personal project. Hope you enjoy!

First half of video filmed on:

Panasonic Gx7
Panasonic 7-14mm wide angle lens

Nauticam underwater housing and dome port

You Won't Believe This Spot! Breathtaking Sydney Harbour Views without the crowds!

Mary Carlson Park and Greenwich Point Wharf on Sydney's lower north shore are just a 10 minute bus ride from St Leonards Train Station. Along the way are quaint suburban streets, stunning houses and even a harbour pool - Greenwich Baths!

These spots boast incredible panoramic views of the Sydney skyline including the Sydney Harbour Bridge, central business district, Barangaroo and Cockatoo Island. Perfect place for ferry spotting ⛴️, a quick sunset sesh or a gram-worthy photo op!

📌 Save this post for your next Sydney adventure!

Must visit place in Sydney ,Australia -Epic Harbour Bridge Climb Adventure!

The Sydney Harbour Bridge is largest steel arch bridge in the world, containing almost 53,000 tonnes of steel, the majority of which sits in the arc, and despite its age is still renowned for its sturdy, unyielding nature.

It’s a steel through arch bridge in Sydney, spanning Sydney Harbour from the central business district (CBD) to the North Shore. The view of the bridge, the harbour, and the nearby Sydney Opera House is widely regarded as an iconic image of Sydney, and of Australia itself. Nicknamed The Coathanger because of its arch-based design.

Exploring Chatswood NSW Australia

@TamworthAustralia

Chatswood is a major business and residential district in the Lower North Shore of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia, 10 kilometres north of the Sydney central business district. It is the administrative centre of the local government area of the City of Willoughby. It is often colloquially referred to as Chatty.

History

Victoria Avenue in 1900
Chatswood was named after Charlotte Harnett, wife of then Mayor of Willoughby and a pioneer of the district, Richard Harnett, and the original wooded nature of the area. The moniker derives from her nickname Chattie[2] and was shortened from Chattie's Wood to Chatswood in the mid-1800's.

Residential settlement of Chatswood began in 1876 and grew with the opening of the North Shore railway line in 1890 and also increased with the opening of the Harbour Bridge in 1932.[3]

Chatswood Post Office opened on 1 August 1879, closed in 1886 and reopened in 1887.[4]

By 1900, Chatswood was easily accessible by public transport. In 1898, the electric tram line, running along Willoughby Road and Penshurst Street, had reached Victoria Avenue, and in 1908, it was extended to Chatswood railway station. In 1903 the council chambers moved from Mowbray Road to Victoria Avenue.

At this time Chatswood's history contained orchards and dairy farms on the west side of the train station as well as factories, such as Dairy Farmers Inc and Three Threes Pickle Factory on what was then Gordon Road (now the Pacific Highway). Although now predominantly a commercial and residential area, Chatswood has an industrial past. Other factories included; Ferguson Transformers, after which Ferguson Lane is named,[5] and the Caroma factory (formerly Marshman Brothers), now converted to residential units[6] and a small garden park. In the eastern part of the suburb, along Scott's Creek, there were several tanneries; the last of these closed in 1992. There is still an area with some light industry in the eastern part of the suburb.

Chatswood was declared a town centre in 1983 and a city in 1989.

Travel Review | NSW Royal National Park | Coastal Walk | Sydney Australia | Австралия Whale Watching

Travel Review | Royal National Park | Coastal Walk | Sydney Australia | Сидней | Австралия |whale watching

The Royal National Park is a protected national park that is located in Sutherland Shire in the Australian state of New South Wales, just south of Sydney. The 151-square-kilometre national park is about 29 kilometres south of the Sydney central business district near the localities of Loftus, Otford, and Waterfall.

It is the second oldest national park in the world after Yellowstone, which was established in the US in 1872. It was founded by Sir John Robertson, Acting Premier of New South Wales, and formally proclaimed on 26 April 1879. Its original name was just National Park, but it was renamed in 1955 after Elizabeth II, Queen of Australia passed by in the train during her 1954 tour. The park was added to the Australian National Heritage List in December 2006.
