Cairo, Egypt - Day two in Egypt and I’m ready to stuff my face with Egyptian Food! Inspired by last night’s dinner at El Prince Restaurant I can’t wait to dive deeper into Egyptian cuisine with local friends, and inevitably, learn a lot more about Egyptian culture in the process...

We start with a traditional Egyptian Breakfast at Ful Waheed in the Ramses neighborhood of Cairo, Egypt. Ful is stewed fava beans with tahini, cumin, chili powder, and other spices topped with a generous amount of oil and the option of raw hot peppers and red onions. Served with a ton of veggies, tahini, chips, and Ful Waheed’s famous Shrimp Fries.

Next up, we walk through Cairo’s largest market and most famous bazaar; Khan el-Khalili. This is definitely one of the best things to do in Cairo. We stop for tea at El Fishawi Cafe before lunch.

For an Egyptian Street Food lunch, we go to Koshary Abo Tarek in Cairo for Egypt’s National Dish - Koshary. A blue collar dish that has rice, pasta, lentils, chickpeas (hummus), fried onions, and topped with a seasoned tomato sauce. Koshary (or Kushari or Koshari) is a hearty bowl of carbs that would be enough to eat for a day by itself… we press on!

For a quick mid-day Egyptian street food desert, El Karnak in Cairo serves Combella, an Egyptian food classic that is a delicious combination of rice pudding, Kunafa, Basbousa, mango and strawberry juice, homemade cream, and fresh fruit.

One more tea break at Mohamed Salad Coffee Shop in downtown Cairo, Egypt and then it’s time for dinner at one of the best restaurants in Cairo or Giza.

Hawawshi El Rabea in Imbaba Giza is said to be the best restaurant in Egypt for this traditional Egyptian street food.

Hawawshi is thin, seasoned beef patties wrapped in traditional Egyptian bread and grilled on a flattop. It is served with tahini and vegetables.

The coolest thing about this spot is that they actually own the butcher shop right across the street as well to ensure the freshest, best quality meat in their Hawashi. And the owner Wael Rabe, is meticulous about his craft. (sound bite)

On top of the flying meat patties, they also feature other signature dishes like Molokhia, roasted meat and potatoes, Macaroni with tomato sauce and meat and Kebda, garlic and seasoned Liver with hot peppers, lemon, and bell peppers all grilled up on the flattop.

Of course, we’ll try them all, but no doubt Hawawshi is the star of the show here.

I hope you all loved this Egyptian Street Food Vlog from here in Cairo, Egypt as much as we did making it! ❤️ If so, please hit that 👍 button, and leave a comment!

See ya next week!

Egypt ಅಸಾಧ್ಯ.! ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದದ್ದು ಹೇಗೆ.? 🇪🇬 ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಈಜಿಪ್ಟ್ 😱| Dr Bro

Namskara Devru,
Join me on a fascinating journey from the bustling city of Cairo to the ancient city of Luxor, spanning a total distance of 661 kilometers. Hop on the Egyptian train with me, as I experience my first ride on it, and share with you the similarities and differences between Indian and Egyptian trains. I booked a special sleeper class, and the ticket looked like a booklet. The cost was $80, which translates to around 6560 Indian Rupees, making it approximately 10 Rs/km. The train was full of safety measures, and the hygiene maintained inside was commendable.
Upon reaching Luxor at 7:45 am, I was amazed by the sunny weather and wondered how the people manage to live in such conditions. Foreigners from all around the world had gathered at the prestigious Karnak Temple, which is spread across 200 acres of land. It is the place where the 'panchayat' took place over the years in Egypt. I was awestruck by the number of pillars that had been sculpted with the Egyptian history for future generations to witness. I saw the statue of King Rameses II and couldn't help but wonder how they built such massive structures 4000 years ago.
Moving forward to the Memlone, I saw the 3000-year-old statues of the kings of Egypt. We visited the Temple of Hatshepsut, which is unique because it was ruled by queens over 3000 years ago. We saw the statue of Queen Hatshepsut, which looked like a man to ensure its existence for years to come. She built the temple to showcase the presence of queens to future generations.
We then headed to the Valley of Kings, where there are 18 underground burials that were dug over time. The history of each king was painted on the walls, and they were buried in these tombs upon their death. We explored the underground burial site of Rameses IV, who ruled for only 15-20 years, making him an unlucky king.
Join me on this exciting journey as we explore the fascinating history of ancient Egypt and delve deep into the mysteries of its magnificent temples and tombs. Don't miss this chance to experience the rich cultural heritage of Egypt and witness the breathtaking beauty of Luxor.

Exploring the Mighty Nile River: A Journey Across 12 Countries in Africa! Join me on an incredible adventure as we embark on a journey to witness the longest river in the world - the Nile River. Passing through 12 different countries in Africa, including Rwanda, Ethiopia, Egypt, Congo, South Sudan, and more, the Nile River is truly a natural wonder. In Egypt, 90% of the population lives near the river, and we'll witness their daily lives and activities along the Nile.

On my adventure, I spotted a boat named 'Titanic,' powered by airwaves, and I even saw a boat towing an airboat! The locals were friendly and playful, with kids playing with sea shells and trying to earn some money from tourists. I even got a chance to swim in the Nile River, and it was an unforgettable experience!

Come along with me as we explore the Nile River, learn about its significance to the local people, and witness the natural beauty of this incredible waterway. Keep smiling and stay curious for my next adventure video!

Hope you Enjoyed this Video!

হাওড়া ব্রীজ নির্মাণ কাহিনী || HISTORY OF HOWRAH BRIDGE || হাওড়া ব্রিজ কে তৈরি করেছে || KOLKATA

Howrah Bridge is a bridge with a suspended span over the Hooghly River in West Bengal, India. Commissioned in 1943,[8][10] the bridge was originally named the New Howrah Bridge, because it replaced a pontoon bridge at the same location linking the two cities of Howrah and Kolkata (Calcutta). On 14 June 1965 it was renamed Rabindra Setu after the great Bengali poet Rabindranath Tagore, who was the first Indian and Asian Nobel laureate.[10] It is still popularly known as the Howrah Bridge.

The bridge is one of four on the Hooghly River and is a famous symbol of Kolkata and West Bengal. The other bridges are the Vidyasagar Setu (popularly called the Second Hooghly Bridge), the Vivekananda Setu, and the newly built Nivedita Setu. It weathers the storms of the Bay of Bengal region, carrying a daily traffic of approximately 100,000 vehicles[11] and possibly more than 150,000 pedestrians,[9] easily making it the busiest cantilever bridge in the world.[12] The third-longest cantilever bridge at the time of its construction,[13] the Howrah Bridge is currently the sixth-longest bridge of its type in the world.

IS EGYPT SAFE FOR WOMEN?

I just wanted to wrap up this Travel Deeper Egypt Series with a very simple, quick video based on the most frequently asked question while I was traveling here… Is it safe for women to travel Egypt on their own?

I wanted to make this a separate video so it wouldn’t get lost in the full Egypt Travel Guide. So, if you haven’t seen that one make sure you watch that next:

As a 6’2”, 200lb American man, it’s difficult for me to give you a realistic response on women’s safety in Egypt, so while traveling around the country we stopped and asked women their first-hand experience...

TALK TO THE WOMEN DIRECTLY:
Averi -
Mashon -
Lora -
Cherisse -
Alex -

A lot of people commented in the full Egypt Travel Guide video that “why deal with the hassle of going to Egypt with all these problems” and too that I say, if don’t correctly, the juice is 100% worth the squeeze. It is one of the most historically significant places on the planet.

It is definitely a place for more advanced travelers that want to embrace the adventure, and if you’re not a well-seasoned traveler; my best advice is to just find a really good guide.

Truthfully, the place you will have the most issues on your entire trip is the Pyramids of Giza. 13 teens just got arrested for harassing girls, and they were just as aggressive with us. They just surround you and want selfies - but there is no real danger in this.

I compare Egypt to Brazil - in brazil you need to watch your belongings and you could be robbed at any moment, where as in Egypt, you will just be heckled and people will try to talk you out of your money vs forcefully.

If you are a woman who has been to Egypt, it would be amazing if you share your experience in the comments below for others to follow.

And with that being said, that’s an official wrap on this first Egypt series - Next up a few videos from my adopted hometown of San Diego and then its off to Croatia!

I hope you enjoyed this Egypt Travel Guide about Is Egypt Safe for Women as much as we did making it! ❤️ If so, please hit that 👍 button, and leave a comment!

See ya next week!

🇪🇬 ล่องเรือเที่ยวทะเลแดงอียิปต์

■ Egypt, Hurghada

Enjoy! Sharing is caring. My gratitude to you all 💗

Accomodation review Sharm el Sheikh | Il Mercato

Hi travellers,
Are you going to holiday in Sharm El Sheikh? You do not have to stay on the main beach. In this video I show inside the all inclusive resort I stayed in whilst in Sharm. Book your next hotel stay with booking.com:

I opted for the all inclusive, a first for me, as the price difference was fairly minimal. 3 buffet style meals are included, along with afternoon tea snacks and all beverages available from the different bars during the day, both soft drinks and alcoholic (if you're not Egyptian).

This resort offers access to two different beaches offsite. A shuttle is available to catch, every hour, to the reef and the beach. At the reef I did have to pay 50LE upon arrival and deck chairs are available for use. I used the towel card and bought a resort towel with me to both locations. The beach has an onsite bar, where you can have the same drinks as available freely within the resort. At the reef you have to pay. There is limited seating on the bus, so come early and walk quickly as the bus arrives at the back of the resort. It's on a first come, first served basis and you will have to wait for the next shuttle if there are no seats.

There are 4 different pools in the resort, where you can chill and swim.

Everyday there are activities from yoga, to performances on some evenings.

One day I did travel down to the main beach and it was resort, resort, resort. There is one small patch of public beach access. Plus some expensive shopping, but there are the usual suspects of Hard Rock Cafe, Starbucks and McDonald's. You can call an Uber, or catch a cab from the front of the hotel.

The area where the hotel is located seems quiet. Outside there are some souvenir stores, and McDonald's. There is an onsite supermarket, however, the prices are higher. You can walk down the street and find others. For example, I bought water shoes at a nearby supermarket for less than offered at the onsite supermarket.

The old market is near the resort and I did walk one evening to check out the mosque and do a spot of shopping.

I paid for this hotel through Booking.com
