Coast of Baoruco, Dominican Republic
Baoruco, alternatively spelt Bahoruco is a small village at the Carretera 44, (Spanish pronunciation: [ba.oˈɾuko]) is a province of the Dominican Republic. Before 1952 it included what is now Independencia Province.
Important features are the Sierra de Neiba mountain range and Lake Enriquillo.

Las Marías es el balneario más frecuentado por los lugareños en el municipio de Neyba, que tiene una superficie de 624 m2, con una profundidad que oscila entre los 0,5 y los 4,5 m.
Debido a las aguas cristalinas, que provienen de la fuente natural de agua dulce, tanto residentes de las cercanías como turistas deciden refrescarse en las frescas aguas y disfrutar del ambiente acogedor y familiar del balneario, y de sus preciosos alrededores cubiertos de verde vegetación tropical.

Una piscina natural que me encantó mientras recorría el sur profundo 🤩🙌🏽 se llama Boca de Cachón ubicado en Jimaní, Provincia Independencia 🇩🇴.
Se encuentra ubicada en el pequeño pueblo del mismo nombre en la provincia de Independencia, a unos 10 kilómetros al norte de Jimaní.
El lugar es muy frecuentado por los lugareños por lo que les recomiendo venir durante días de semana y en tempranas horas para tenerlo sin muchas personas alrededor, hay un amplio estacionamiento.
Para turistas nacionales o extranjeros es una parada a realizar después de una excursión al parque nacional Isla Cabritos - Lago Enriquillo, es un lugar tranquilo con ambiente rural.
Puedes llegar utilizando Google Maps o Waze.

This truly was a 4WD adventure over some pretty narrow mountain roads hugging the mountainside as it meandered through the park.
