Jardín Colombia, located in the southern area of Antioquia, is one of Colombia’s most beautiful towns and a national heritage. It is one of the 17 national heritage villages (Pueblos Patrimonio de Colombia). When they founders arrived to the town from the viewpoint Alto de las Flores they observed the valley that by then it looks like a jungle with white yarumos and crossed by two little rivers, so they exclaimed This is a garden, and that's how Jardín gets its name. This small coffee region is about four hours from Medellin. During my visit, I fell in love with its people and the general atmosphere of Jardin Antioquia.

Is Jardín Colombia Worth It? (Here's Everything You Need to Know)
Jardin, Colombia, is a hidden gem in the Andes mountain range. It boasts natural wealth, including waterfalls, hikes, breathtaking views, and welcoming people. But how do you get to Jardin, Colombia?
The easiest way to get to Jardin is by taking a bus from Medellin. While it is only 100 miles or so, it will take 4 hours to get there, but it's worth it!
Once you arrive in Jardin, you will be blown away by the colorful buildings and active locals. If you need a place to stay, then we recommend checking out Airbnb or grabbing a hotel. Jardin is small, so you will walk for most of your activities. However, if you want to stay at a place with a view and activities, then we recommend staying at Gulupa Ecolodge!

DON'T Do This Hike By Yourself in Jardín, Colombia 🇨🇴 |Ep. 51|
In this week's video, we left Medellín behind one last time, and set off into the hills towards the picturesque little village of Jardín, in Colombia. Finding our hostel in this tiny village proved difficult for us however, as there was a huge religious procession winding its way through the streets, blocking us at various points. We did eventually get to Sgt. Peppers Hostel, and check into our room, where, amazingly, we had a double bed, in a dorm! After a terrible night's sleep, due to some synchronised snorers, we rose from our beds, packed our bags, made sandwiches, and headed off for relaxing hike, starting from the north-east of the town. We managed to see only one of the waterfalls planned (Cascada del Amor) as the second one was locked off for some reason. We finished our walk by taking a cable car (more like a trailer on a rope) back to Jardín. This is a MUST do if you visit! The next day we made the same preparations, and set off from the north-west of the town (this time with our newly purchased rain jackets), to make the 8km hike to the Cueva del Esplendor. This unique cave was carved out by a running stream which turns into a waterfall as it flows through the roof of the cave. It was a tough walk, featuring lots of rain, mud, cows, and confusion about our route. It took us almost 5 hours which meant we didn't have near enough time to visit the waterfall, and make it back before nightfall. Thankfully the people at the ticket office organised transport for us, which meant we could enjoy our time at the waterfall. It was spectacular!
