In this video I will show you how to take a great day trip from Mexico City to visit towns in the state of Hidalgo including Pachuca, Real del Monte, Huasca de Ocampo, and the Basaltic Prisms of Santa Maria Regla. We also stopped at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe to see the relic of Guadalupe. You can do these experiences by yourself but to get the most out of your trip book a local tour guide. We explored Baja Sur, Jalisco, Mexico City, Oaxaca, Quintana Roo, Guanajuato, Guerrero and everything in between. We didn't make it to Acapulco or Monterrey, but we covered much of Mexico in this travel guide. Mexico is a large country so we did some road tripping and took flights across the country. if you visit Mexico be ready for a culturally rich, diverse, historical country, known for its great food, beaches and overall awesome experience. Las Grutas Tolantongo is located about 3.5 hrs drive northeast drive of Mexico City. You can hire a private tour to take you here or rent a car. We highly recommend booking a guided tour than driving in Mexico.
Las Grutas Tolantongo is like a hidden paradise! It's also one of the places that Instagram made famous.
At the end of the video, you can also visit the Pyramids of Teotihuacan (Pyramids of the Sun and Moon). It's located just 30 miles from Mexico City.
