Costa Rica best of the west and where you MUST visit | 2021 | 4K
Costa Rica (or the ‘rich coast’ as Google tells us) is lucky enough to straddle two oceans and have stretches of both Caribbean and Pacific coastlines. With so much choice, we wanted to show you the best of the west coast. These are our must see Pacific coast destinations, in no particular order:

You may notice a few famous places along the west cost are missing (specifically Jaco and Dominical)… whilst these are classic tourist destinations like Tamarindo, we felt they had less to offer as their beaches were gigantic but sparse and lacking in character. We are sure there are nice spots and hidden gems that we missed!
Corcovado is a must visit that we unfortunately did not have time for. A number of tourists and locals said it was the best jungle experience in Costa Rica but that it’s very difficult to get to. It’s right down in the south west of the country; getting there by boat is the main way we saw and you need to be accompanied by a guide to even enter. It’s likely the difficulty of getting there is part of the reason it is such an experience to go!

Saint Lucia is the ultimate honeymoon destination. It has the most beautiful nature and is the absolute highlight in the middle of the Caribbean. There is also plenty to do for backpackers and traveling families. In this video I show you why every traveler should visit Saint Lucia at least once: it's just a place that can hardly be beat!
After Saint Lucia we visit many more gems in the Caribbean. Whether they will match with Saint Lucia remains to be seen! With the best views of the gigantic pitons, overnight stays in tree houses in the middle of the jungle and the most beautiful snow-white beaches, Saint Lucia is high on the list of the most beautiful islands in the world. We sleep in Soufrière, visit the Diamond Waterfalls, hike the Tet Paul Nature Trail and visit the beaches Anse Chastanet, Sugar Beach and Jalousie Plantation Beach. From the west, we drive our small jeep through the rainforest to the south and east, before relaxing at an all-inclusive resort in the north.
This year we travel all over the world and after the Canary Islands, Oman, Cape Verde and Martinique, Saint Lucia is our fifth destination. Follow us on this world tour, first in the Caribbean and then to many more beautiful destinations! We travel non-stop all year round and film everything. Living in Costa Rica can be very affordable and because Perez Zeledon is NOT a very touristy area, the prices are usually the normal prices that Ticos pay. This makes living in the area, affordable and shopping is easy because you are so close to San Isidro which is the 2nd largest and the fastest-growing city in Costa Rica.
The area has a lot of ex-pats in the remote areas...but you don't see them all over, which makes you feel like you are NOT in a tourist area but enjoying authentic Costa Rica.
But...there are a lot of ex-pat communities that give you the ability to meet up and talk with other ex-pats if that is something you enjoy doing.

Spending under $10 at a farmer's market in Costa Rica
FARMER'S MARKET FRIDAY!
In this video we spent the afternoon at a farmer's market in Costa Rica. Our goal was to spend under $10 while filling our bag with enough good quality produce to last us the week.
Most towns and cities in Costa Rica offer a central farmer's market that's open to the public on Friday and Saturday. This is the time of week most people get their produce for the week. We found it so satisfying to see all the tropical produce at very reasonable prices.
If you ever find yourself visiting Costa Rica, make sure you visit a farmer's market!
