Madison, Wisconsin is the second largest city in the state and serves as its capital. It's situated in a scenic region between Lake Mendota and Lake Monona, and is regularly rated as one of the top places in the nation to raise a family. Edgerton Highway (Kenny Lake to Tonsina) westbound
The Edgerton Highway (AK Highway 10) is a short spur highway connecting the Richardson Highway with the village of Chitina on the Copper River. It was meant to connect directly with an extended Copper River Highway, which would have provided automobile access to the city of Cordova from mainland Alaska, however construction was stopped following the 1964 Good Friday Earthquake and work has never resumed.

Madison, the capital city of Wisconsin. Recent visit to capture fall colors in the Badger State. The city’s skyline is dominated by the State Capitol (284.4 feet [86.7 metres] high), modeled after the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. Its white granite dome is topped by a statue, Wisconsin; made of bronze by sculptor Daniel Chester French and covered in gold leaf, it symbolizes the state motto: “Forward.” Governmental operations and the University of Wisconsin–Madison (1848) account for much of the city’s prosperity and form the basis of its economy.
