Štrekna – Kolesarska pot po Mislinjski dolini
Kolesarska pot po Mislinjski dolini velja za infrastrukturno eno najbolje urejenih kolesarskih poti v Sloveniji. Poteka po delu trase opuščene železnice Otiški vrh – Velenje. Trenutno je urejena v dolžini 24 km med Otiškim vrhom, Slovenj Gradcem, Mislinjo in Gornjim Doličem. Pot, katere podlaga je na celotni dolžini asfalt, poteka kot ločena kolesarska pot in je zaradi varnosti še posebej primerna za družine z otroki in starejše. Ob poti je več urejenih počivališč in kar nekaj ohranjenih atraktivnih nekdanjih železniških objektov, med njimi most v Slovenj Gradcu ter tunela v Mislinji in Gornjem Doliču. Med vožnjo lahko uživate v pogledih na Pohorje in Uršljo Goro. Ustaviti se morate tudi v Slovenj Gradcu in si ogledati srednjeveško mestno jedro.

Štrekna – Cycling Route in the Mislinja Valley
This cycling route is one of the best routes in Slovenia. It runs through unused railway Otiški Vrh- Velenje. Currently is 24km in length and it leads through Otiški vrh, Slovenj Gradec, Mislinja, and Gornji Dolič. The surface of the path consists of the asphalt and is separated from other routes therefore it is suitable for families with children and for elderly. Along the length of the route you can find resting places, different railway infrastructures such as the bridge in Slovenj Gradec and two tunnels in Mislinja and Gornji Dolič. During cycling you can enjoy the views on Pohorje and Uršlja gora. You must also stop in Slovenj Gradec to visit medieval town centre.

Laško is a spa town in eastern Slovenia. It is the seat of the Municipality of Laško. The area is part of the traditional region of Styria. The municipality is now included in the Savinja Statistical Region. The town is located at the foothills of Hum Hill on the Savinja River. It was first mentioned in written documents dating to 1227 and was granted town privileges in 1927. It is known to have been settled since the Iron Age and Roman archaeological finds are common in the area, though the precise location of the Roman settlement is not known. Today the town is best known for its annual Festival of Beer & Flowers (Pivo - Cvetje) and the local Laško Brewery, the largest brewery in the country.

Ep35 Slovenia Beauty & Flooddamage Dravograd & Meza river

I had the idea to see Slovenia when leaving the Netherlands. So after a Austria I did enter Slovenia on the 14th of August. 10 Days after the flood disaster had struck parts of Slovenia and Austria.
I stayed in the town of Dravograd and would follow the river Meza to do the panorama route near Solcava.
For me it was fine to go since my camper is build to be off-grid so I dont need campings etc. Only supermarkets & water and a road. Those are always there even after a disaster. The roads would sometimes be a problem, but were repaired with loads of heavy equipment and manpower.

There was still a lot of beauty to see but also a lot of distruction.
Just happy that I was not here the 4th of August..... Heard people were scared in their houses.

It should be no suprise that hiking trail were not top of the list to repair so loads of them were not passable (blocked by fallen trees and landslides).

Lake Bled Slovenia is one of the top tourist destinations in Slovenia and arguably in this region of the world. We are only in Bled for one day, so today, we explore things to do in Bled, Slovenia’s only island to see if it is worth the hype.

People started visiting the famous Lake Bled Island back in the 12th century. They would take pletnas, a special type of boat, to cross Lake Bled, and get to the church on Bled island. In this Lake Bled video, we will do just that. We are camping at Lake Bled, so we will be walking from Camp Bled to the pletnas, hopping on a boat to show you how to get to Lake Bled, and cross to the church on Lake Bled Island. This afternoon, we will be showing you lots of Lake Bled activities and hopefully getting you excited for your future trip to Slovenia, or making you nostalgic about your previous trip from Slovenia.

Remember, this is part 4 of a 12 part RV trip series all through Croatia, Italy, and Slovenia. We hope you join us as we travel around this part of the world more.
