Duluth Minnesota Visitor Guide

Duluth minnesota visitor guide. Duluth is a major port city in the U.S. state of Minnesota and the county seat of Saint Louis County. Duluth has a population of 86,110 and is the second-largest city on Lake Superior's shores, after Thunder Bay, Ontario in Canada; it has the largest metropolitan area on the lake. The Duluth MSA had a population of 279,771 in 2010, the second largest in Minnesota. Situated at the westernmost point of the Great Lakes on the north shore of Lake Superior, Duluth is accessible to oceangoing vessels from the Atlantic Ocean 2,300 miles away via the Great Lakes Waterway and the Saint Lawrence Seaway.

Duluth forms a metropolitan area with neighboring Superior, Wisconsin called the Twin Ports. The cities share the Duluth–Superior harbor and together are the Great Lakes' largest port, transporting coal, iron ore, and grain. A tourist destination for the Midwest, Duluth features the United States' only all-freshwater aquarium, the Great Lakes Aquarium; the Aerial Lift Bridge, which spans the Duluth Ship Canal into the Duluth–Superior Harbor; and Minnesota Point, the world's longest freshwater baymouth bar, spanning 6 miles. #duluthminnesota #brige

A day in Duluth, Minnesota : Lake Superior ( 4K HD )

Duluth is the largest city sitting on Lake Superior shore in Minnesota and the neighboring region. The metro population is about 300,000 but it feels like the capital of the whole Lake Superior. I was only there for a day but one thing that stroke me is how foggy Duluth was. Foggy, maybe cloudy, though far from gray. It has its character, the city is vibrant and culturally rich. If you want to try great seafood (or should I say lakefood) cooked by the greatest chefs, Duluth is your destination. It is also a hilly place, your drive is always up and down and the hills open spectacular views on the town and the bay. And those are the view I tried to take for this video.

Thanks for watching and hit me up with questions if you have them. Enjoy!

Traveler's Guide to Enjoying Minnesota in 2018 (ADVICE YOU MUST KNOW)

My clients deserve the best and NYT, WSJ and Conde Nast have listed Minnesota as a top destination for world travelers for the past 2 years.
I had the pleasure of seeing this excitement over New Year's 2017-2018. It is absolutely true about what they say about Minnesotans, in such extreme cold weather you have to have a warm heart. Minnesotans are the most courteous and welcoming people I have ever met.

Let me just say, as a Travel Agency, if there are Minnesotans who don't have a Travel Agency arranging their travel...please consider Traveling-Guru (dennis.foutz@cruiseplanners.com); Every business wants gracious clients and Minnesota personifies everything great about human nature.

8 fantastic restaurants to explore:
- Spoon and Stable
- Restaurant Alma
- 112 Eatery
- Bachelor Farmer
- Corner Table
- Surly Brewers Table
- Travail Kitchen and Amusement
- Heyday

Staying in downtown Minneapolis, consider using the Skywalk to get around. Don't resist walking outside, though. There are secret restaurant spots known by locals who aren't afraid to adventure out into the chilly air.

Sports in Minneapolis are football, hockey, and baseball. Lots of love in Minnesota for their teams. I almost become bought a jersey...haha

Families can enjoy indoor activities at the Great Wolf Lodge (waterpark and lodge resort) and Mall of America (3-story mall with an indoor amusement park).

Minnesota Things-to-Do for my clients!
- Families: Minneapolis Institute of Art and Science Museum
- Art lovers: Minneapolis Sculpture Garden
- Ghost Hunters: Historic Congdon Estate
- Outdoor Adventurers: North Shore Scenic Drive (Lake Superior and Sawtooth Mountain)
- Ice Fishing!!
