Rv Spots along the Spokane River in Coeur d'Alene Idaho at Blackwell Island RV park
The beaches were great! Private, clean and theres one for the dogs!
Heard Blackwell was the place to stay. When I first called (you can not make reservations online) it was filly booked and we couldn't get in. So I booked another park and called, and called, and finally got in! LOL! We booked ten days next year while we were there 😉
The park was nice, clean, big and maneuverable. We had an end spot and there was so much room. There are also spots along the river that have the most incredible views.
Our hook ups were good. No issues with power, water or sewer. It was an excellent park to walk the dogs. Its very close to downtown. We must have enjoyed it as its booked for next year LOL! Blackwell Island RV Park in Coeur d’ Alene Idaho offers 182 RV camping sites on the shores of the Coeur d’Alene River at the entrance to the lake. Located in a newer development the park benefits from an amazing location but is a bit premium priced for the actual amenities and quality of sites offered.
Site rates are based upon location and size with some camping areas located along paved roads while others are situated along gravel roads (all sites are gravel). There is plenty of grass throughout the park and immediate access to the lake.
The RV park is accessed off the road by passing through a brand new boat sales and service center. If you are in to boating then this is the place to stay. Premium water front RV sites are available along with docking areas and a swim beach.
The park does not allow tent camping. A small playground set is situated behind the office along with a patio/ bbq area/ rally area. Showers and restrooms are available in two locations. Small trees are located throughout the park and do provide some shade when the sun is at the proper angle.

We are Bill and DeAnna Edmister of Living the Silver Life, and we are full time RVers. We have a seasonal spot near Wellsboro, PA. In this episode, we travel to Blackwell, PA where Bill fly fishes for a while, and then we hit the Pine Creek Rails to Trail on my new Aventon e-bike and Bill’s Felt. It is our favorite 12 mile stretch so far along the bike trail due to all the falls. Then the next day, we head back to Leonard Harrison State Park for a hike we haven’t done there yet. Man, was that a steep climb. Join us for another adventure in Pennsylvania.
