Travelling in Slovenia, Mura, Pomurska, Slovenia, Europe
The Mura Statistical Region is a statistical region in the north-east of Slovenia. It is predominantly agricultural with field crops representing over three quarters of the total utilised agricultural area, twice as much as the Slovene average. Climate and soil combined have made it the region with the highest crop production, but its geographical position and inferior infrastructure put it at a disadvantage and it is the region of Slovenia with the lowest GDP per capita (EUR 8,500) and the highest rate of registered unemployment. The region comprises the following municipalities: Apače, Beltinci, Cankova, Črenšovci, Dobrovnik, Gornja Radgona, Gornji Petrovci, Grad, Hodoš, Kobilje, Križevci, Kuzma, Lendava, Ljutomer, Moravske Toplice, Murska Sobota, Odranci, Puconci, Radenci, Razkrižje, Rogašovci, Sveti Jurij ob Ščavnici, Šalovci, Tišina, Turnišče, Velika Polana and Veržej. The population in 2004 was 122,717. Employment structure: 41.2% services, 44.8% industry, 14.0% agriculture. It attracts 7.8% of the total number of tourists in Slovenia, most being from Slovenia (52%). Length of motorways: 14 km Length of other roads: 1451 km.

Your next cycling destination - POMURJE
There used to be tens of floating mills on the Mura River, but only one has survived to this day – and it can be seen in the village of Ižakovci. Take the age-old ferry across the river. Feel the water also in the natural health spas featuring thermal waters, visit one of the natural mineral water springs. Bogojina boasts the famous Church of the Ascension, one of architectural great Jože Plečnik’s finest works. Lendava is the world capital of the hearty meat stew bograč, a must-try on any food lover’s list.
The 25th Tour of Slovenia cycling road race, which will start on 13th June in Lendava and finish four days later in Novo mesto, will be broadcast live by the European sports network Eurosport.

Slovenska Bistrica, Slovenia - 4K Virtual Walk
The town of Slovenska Bistrica has a fantastic advantage when it comes to development - location. Picture this: they're right at the crossroads of routes leading to Maribor, Ptuj, Ljubljana, and Rogaška Slatina. Plus, there's a highway nearby that goes east toward Hungary and Croatia.
The area is diverse and has cool tourist spots, culture, and nature. The local economy is important, mainly in manufacturing (like metal and food). About 25% of businesses do other things. Near Slovenska Bistrica, there's an industrial zone that attracts companies. They plan to expand it for more manufacturing, shops, and services.
Some of the best tourist attractions in the area are for example Castle Slovenska Bistrica (it has a lovely park) and the historical center of Slovenska Bistrica (today is called Freedom Square).

Logatec Slovenia
Logatec ; German: Loitsch, Italian: Longatico is a town in Slovenia. It is the seat of the Municipality of Logatec. It is located roughly in the centre of Inner Carniola, between the capital Ljubljana and Postojna. The town of Logatec has seen rapid industrial development and immigration since the completion of the nearby A1 motorway to the coast.
Logatec is the site of three known mass graves from during or after the Second World War.
Because Logatec is made of what were originally separate settlements, there are a number of churches in what is now the town. The parish church is in the Dolenji Logatec area and is dedicated to Saint Nicholas. It was first mentioned in written documents dating to 1526. From 1795 to 1803 a new church was built on the site. The church in the Čevica area is dedicated to Saint Joseph, and in Gorenji Logatec to the Virgin Mary.

My 30 Day Eurail Pass - Ljubljana, Slovenia
What a surprise it was to visit Ljubljana, I had no idea what to expect, but I loved the city. With the river and bridges, architecture, all the outdoor seating at the cafes and restaurants, it almost seemed like I was in Paris or Amsterdam, but smaller and more quaint.
My first night I stayed at the Hotel Park Ljubljana, it's a nice hotel just a short walk from the Old Town area. The room was very comfortable, and the view was the best part. I was lucky enough to arrive just as the sun was setting over the city and the castle. What a great view. They also have a very nice breakfast, lots of variety and excellent service. Thanks again for the great stay!
Since Ljubljana is a relatively small city, I used my first full day to take a bus ride to Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj. It was a pretty easy ride and Lake Bled is a must if you're visiting Ljubljana. I hiked up to the castle which had a great view of the lake and the little island with the little building. I didn't take the boat ride to the island, but instead took the bus to Lake Bohinj. There's not much to do there, but the hiking is good I heard, and there's a waterfall. There was still snow on the ground and it was cold, so I just flew the drone a little and enjoyed the views around the lake. Then it was time to take the bus back to Ljubljana.
I checked into the Hostel Tresor which is located right in the middle of town, such a perfect location. I had a private room with a shared bathroom, the room was very large and comfortable. The hostel has plenty of common areas, places to eat, a bar and cafe, storage, pretty much everything you need. Plus it's so close to so many restaurants, I didn't even eat there, I just took a short walk and enjoyed dining outside when the weather was warm.
I met up with a local travel Instagram girl (where.is.eli), we had coffee in the main square area, it was very nice to meet a local and talk about travel and her hometown. Next I had a food tour with Slovenia Guides. This was a fantastic tour, we walked all over the city, ate so much good food, it was all just so good. The goulash was probably my favorite, a little spicy. Thanks again Slovenia Guides for the great food tour, it was delicious and educational!
For my last dinner I decided to hike up to the castle and try Strelec. I heard one of the owners was voted the #1 female chef in the world, so I had to give it a try. It was my most expensive meal of the trip, but a similar dining experience in the US would have been 3 times as much I'm sure. They just kept bringing out dishes, I wasn't sure if they always do that, or they figured I was a food blogger since I was taking photos and videos of everything. But it was a very good meal, I highly recommend dining here when you visit Ljubljana.
That was my time in Ljubljana, too short, but it was time to move on to Zagreb, Croatia. Thanks to my Eurail pass, I just jumped on the train and headed to Croatia.
