Even visiting New York can take a toll. It’s full of wonderful sights and sounds, but they can be overwhelming. A weekend getaway to a new location is the best way to combat that.
The most famous location sits within the city itself. The Hamptons is an upscale but calm area with relaxing beaches and plenty of opportunities for retail therapy. New York State has more to offer than NYC. Shelter Island, Lake Placid, and the Hudson Valley are a few options for weekend getaways.

New York’s neighbor New Jersey is also a great place to look for weekend getaways. You could relax on the beaches and enjoy the history of Cape May. Asbury Park’s active boardwalk is underrated. You can also get a weekend getaway in states that are a bit further away. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania rivals New York in its popularity and history. Take a weekend to visit its historic sites such as the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, but don’t miss lesser-known attractions such as the Reading Terminal Market.

Massachusets has The Berkshires. It’s full of culture and a great choice for lovers of the performing arts. You can also hike or enjoy sports for a different kind of rush. Go to Newport, Rhode Island if you want an upscale getaway to rival The Hamptons. It’s full of cottages that use to house rich families.
Take a plane if you want to get as far away from the city as possible. YOu can get to the beautiful, calming island of Bermuda after only a two-hour flight.

Best Things To Do in Boston 2024 4K

Are you looking for the best things to do in Boston? We just created a list of 30 must do activities for you to do while visiting Boston! In this Boston travel guide we show you around Back Bay, East End, Harvard and Cambridge and South End. Some of those Boston attractions include Boston Common, Bunker Hill, USS Constitution, Fenway Park, Newbury Street, Quincy Market, Faneuil Hall, Little Italy, Chinatown, Harbor Islands and much more! If you enjoy this Boston travel video you can also watch our other travel vlogs from across the USA.

It took me 3 days to make this Boston vlog. I would say you can explore the museums around North End and Back Bay in 1 day but 2 days is ideal. Just depends on how many museums and sites you really want to visit. Boston Common and Newbury Street would take less than 2 hours. You could easily take a half day if you include Beacon Street. I would say 3 to 4 days to explore Boston is ideal. Boston is the main city in the New England Region of the United States.
