Hiking the Elephant Hill Rock of Seelong & How to Go
Also known as Bukit Batu Gajah in Malay, the Elephant Hill Rock is a cluster of rocks the size of 5-10m wide is the largest rock formation in Johor Bahru and the largest is said to look like an elephant, hence the name. Located at Seelong at Senai, it is one of the greatest outdoor destinations you can visit near Johor Bahru. A suitable family hike for everyone and around a 500m hike from the parking lot - a great weekend getaway for a peaceful sunset.

From the parking lot, it is a small village (Kampung Pemuda Jaya) situated near a valley with palm plantations. There is a small rock path where you can walking down and up the hills with a few loose rocks and gravel along the way, however driving is not suitable as the road is narrow and too steep.
After a few minutes you will arrive at a small gate through the fence, and by that time you should be able to see the Elephant Rock formation on the right side.

Tanjung Tualang Tin Dredge Batu Gajah Perak Malaysia
A tin dredge is like a floating factory. This one, named Tanjung Tualang Dredge No. 5, or TT5, weighs 4,500 tons and is supported by a pontoon of 75 meters in length, 35 meters in width and 3 meters in depth. It was built in England in 1938 by F.W.Payne & Son which, at that time, was a major design engineering company in bucketline dredges.

[ Kellies' Castle at Batu Gajah Perak is the place where an unfinished romantic story was written.
KELLIE'S CASTLE BATU GAJAH (KELLIE'S FOLLY) TEMPAT WAJIB SINGGAH DI PERAK | TEMPAT MENARIK DI PERAK
Kellie's Castle kadang-kadang juga dipanggil Kellie's Folly adalah sebuah istana yang terletak di Batu Gajah, daerah Kinta, Perak, Malaysia. Menurut cerita yang berbeza, Kellie's Castle adalah pemberian hadiah dari William Kellie Smith untuk isterinya dan rumah untuk anaknya. Istana Kellie terletak di sebelah Sungai Raya, yang merupakan anak sungai kecil ke Sungai Kinta.
Istana Kellie ataupun Kellie's Castle ini telah dibina pada tahun 1905 oleh seorang peladang getah terkemuka Scotland bernama William Kellie Smith. Bangunan tiga tingkat dibina mengikut reka bentuk sebuah istana Moghul di bandar Agra, India. Tukang-tukang binaan bangunan tersebut dibawa khas dari Madras.

William Kellie Smith berasal dari sebuah kampung di Scotland yang dikenali sebagai Kellas. Pada tahun 1890, ketika beliau berusia 20 tahun, Smith tiba sebelum Tanah Melayu. Beliau bertemu dengan seorang pemilik tanah yang bernama Alma Baker, iaitu seseorang yang telah memenangi konsesi dari pemerintah negara untuk meneroka 360 hektar hutan di Perak. Dengan keuntungan besar yang diperolehi daripada perniagaan bersama (Bisnes Venture) dengan Alma Baker, Smith mula menanam pokok getah dan menceburi industri perlombongan timah. Pada masa itu, dia menjadi pemilik Perumahan Kinta Kellas dan Kinta Kellas Tin Dredging Company.
Kemudiannya beliau kembali ke Scotland untuk berkahwin dengan orang wanita tercinta iaitu bernama Agnes, dan dibawa ke Tanah Melayu pada tahun 1903. Tahun berikutnya, Smith telah mendapat anak perempuan yang bernama Helen. Setelah bertahun lamanya, Agnes berusaha untuk hamil, tapi gagal. William Smith terlalu mengharapkan seorang anak lelaki untuk menjadi sebagai waris dan mengambil alih kerajaan itu di Kepulauan Melayu. Setelah bertahun-tahun selepas itu, akhirnya Agnes telah melahirkan seorang anak lelaki bernama Anthony, pada tahun 1915. Kelahiran anaknya ialah peringkat awal memberi keuntungan yang lebih besar untuk William Smith. Bagi merayakan kelahiran Anthony, William Smith telah memutuskan untuk memperluaskan lagi rumahnya. Smith memulai perancangan untuk memperbesarkan rumah itu seperti yang dirancangkan dan digelar sebagai Rumah Kellas (Kellas House), sempena rumahnya di Scotland.
Bangunan ini mempunyai 14 buah bilik, sebuah bilik bawah tanah dan terowong rahsia dan dilengkapi dengan lif yang pertama dibina Tanah Melayu. Di tingkat kedua pula akan dibina sebuah padang tenis berlantaikan simen.
Berita mengenai bangunan ini pernah disiarkan dalam akhbar London Financer pada 15 September 1911. Akhbar itu mengatakan Kellas House itu merupakan bangunan yang paling unik di seluruh Timur Jauh, sama ada dari segi bentuk ataupun besarnya.
Bangunan ini tidak sempat disiapkan setelah Kellie Smith meninggal dunia di Pelabuhan Lisbon, Portugal untuk mengambil lif yang ditempah pada 11 Disember 1926. Bangunan yang kekal dalam keadaan 'sedang dibina' telah menjadi tarikan pengunjung ke Batu Gajah kerana keunikannya.
Sebuah jambatan menyeberangi Sungai Kinta dibina untuk pelawat agar mudah ke Istana Kellie. Sebuah kedai makan dan kedai cenderamata dan tapak meletak kereta telah dibina oleh Majlis Daerah Kinta Barat pada tahun 1990.
Istana Kellie sering menjadi lokasi penggambaran drama dan filem. Antaranya ialah filem Anna And The King yang dilakonkan oleh Chow Yuen Fatt.
