Mexico City: An Unexpected Adventure (Exploring the Ancient Teotihuacan Pyramids)
When you’re self aware, every word is a prayer, every moment a meditation and every experience a revelation.
I think traveling is one those experiences that reveal so much: new desires, lessons, life redirections.
The revelation I had while in Mexico City, came while I was sitting in a dark cave. I was actually terrified. Intuitively i knew I had nothing to worry about, however my mind was telling me a different story (in my defense, we were just learning about human sacrifices lol). At this point, the flash lights were turned off. It went completely dark. My heart began to race. But then I realized that in that moment, I was being called to trust and surrender. I took a couple of deep breathes and I let it all go. And being in that cave, dark, cold, surrounded by strangers, yet completely silent and not knowing what the next moment would bring. I was filled with peace.
The revelation? It’s the resistance that causes suffering.
Thank you to my sistar Amina for inviting me along on this adventurous trip to Mexico City.
