Pour ma première vidéo de cette année, j'ai décidé de vous amener dans la commune d'Abobo précisément à Biabou 2 aussi connu sous le nom de DJIBI Village sur la route d'Alépé, qui est aussi un passage pour ceux qui souhaite se rendre à Aboisso, à Noé donc à la frontière Côte d'Ivoire-Ghana.
Notre parcours débute à la nouvelle gare d'Adjamé Bracodi, en passant l'autoroute Abobo-Adjamé, puis Abobo Samaké, Abobo-Baoulé et Biabou 2.

TRIP FROM ABIDJAN TO BONOUA BY THE HIGHWAY I VOYAGE D'ABIDJAN A BONOUA PAR L'AUTOROUTE
Bonoua qui signifie en langue abouré « à l'orée de la forêt » est une localité située au sud-est de la Côte d´Ivoire, dans une zone de forêt humide, sur l´axe routier international Abidjan-Lagos à une soixantaine de kilomètre d’Abidjan. Elle est limitée au sud par l´océan Atlantique, au sud-est par Adiaké, au Nord-Est par Aboisso, au sud-ouest par Grand-Bassam et au Nord-ouest par Alépé. Elle est très connue pour sa gastronomie et est aussi la capitale de l'ananas et du manioc et pour son carnaval qui a lieu chaque année depuis 1972, connu sous le nom de POPO Carnaval.
C'est vers cette belle ville que nous conduira notre voyage de ce jour où pour nous rendre, nous emprunterons l'autoroute Abidjan-Bassam. J'espère qu'elle vous apprécierai ce voyage. Bonoua which means in the abouré language at the edge of the forest is a locality located in the south-east of Côte d´Ivoire, in a humid forest area, on the international road axis Abidjan-Lagos at about sixty kilometers from Abidjan. It is bordered to the south by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south-east by Adiaké, to the north-east by Aboisso, to the southwest by Grand-Bassam and to the northwest by Alépé. It is well known for its gastronomy and is also the capital of pineapple and cassava and for its carnival which has taken place every year since 1972, known as POPO Carnival.
It is towards this beautiful city that our journey will take us today. To get there, we will take the Abidjan-Bassam highway. I hope you enjoy this trip. Visit Wananiere Village de Tisserand about 15 minutes outside of the town near Mont Korhogo. A vast amount of lokal cloth is produced in the villag with traditional methods. They also sell everything from table cloths to handy bags in various motives and colors. You can also find their products in many souvenir markets around the country. Take a Taxi and ask them to wait for you while you get a tour and do some shopping. Expect to pay about 5000 FCFA for the taxi there and back and for table cloths 10000 FCFA upwards.

Taking a road road trip from Bassam to Bonoua. Bonoua is a town in south-eastern Ivory Coast, which is about 14KM from Bassam. It is a sub-prefecture and commune of Grand-Bassam Department in Sud-Comoé Region, Comoé District of Ivory Coast. It is made up of 15 villages.
Banco National Park in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast)
Banco National Park is a national park in Côte d'Ivoire located along Highway North in the district of Abidjan. Banco National Park covers 30 km² and is an example of primary forest, with species become rare wood. Tracks for walkers have been upgraded and many hotels of all categories will allow easy accommodation.
It lies immediately north of Abidjan, the national capital. Declared a national park in 1953, Banco conserves both flora and fauna.
Tropical hardwood trees occupy most of the park; an arboretum displays trees (especially teak) and shrubs from all over the country. African civet, genet, bushbuck, duiker, and monkey roam the park. The park serves primarily as a recreational centre for the inhabitants of Abidjan.
Escape from the capital's urban bustle and delve into a threatened world of natural rainforest at Banco National Park. The national park--a center for research, education, and leisure--has survived deforestation and urban development thanks to the staff's conservation efforts and regular security patrols in 4x4 vehicles. Go on a safe, adventurous hike or a guided tour through the ancient mahogany woods, where you can stumble upon exotic birds, primates, and other indigenous wildlife.

Overland traveling is always full of surprises - good ones, and bad ones. Mostly it’s about exploring foreign countries and cultures - but sometimes the challenges you meet on the road need nearly all your attention. Here is what happened in Côte D’Ivoire:
My travel partner had the worst crash of the journey so far: A local motorcyclist crossed his way and he fell when breaking - his side pannier crashing on his ankle. He was stuck under his motorcycle until I lifted it up. The next days we were trying to rush to Abidjan as fast as possible to get him to a proper hospital because his ankle was swollen on twice the size. From the city Man we drove to the capital of Ivory Coast: Yamoussoukro. After a short visit of Notre Dame de Yamoussoukro we continued to Abidjan - where my travel partner decided that he is fine again and doesn't need to get to the hospital anymore. But another challenge was waiting for us: The tires we had sent from Europe were lost by DHL and we had to find new rear tires for our big motorcycles in Abidjan. Watch the episode to find out if we managed and join some sighseeing to St. Paul's cathedral and a rubber tree plantation!

A LA DECOUVERTE D'ABIDJAN -- 10ème EPISODE: ADJAME RAN A COCODY ECOLE DE POLICE VIA NANGUI ABROGOUA
Bienvenue à tous. Aujourd'hui notre voyage nous emmènera d'ADJAME RAN jusqu'à l'Ecole de Police à COCODY en face de l'Université Félix Houphouët Boigny. Notre itinéraire débute donc à la gare de la SITARAIL (Ex RAN), puis passe par le célèbre Boulevard Nangui Abrogoua qui le tronçon sur lequel est concentré le centre commercial le plus dynamique de la Côte d'Ivoire (Krinjabo, Black Market, Pétit Lomé, la gare routière, Roxy, 3ème Arrondissement, Marché Forum, etc...). Le flux financier dans cet espace géographique se chiffre quotidiennement en Milliard de Francs CFA. Ne vous fier pas à ce semblant d'insalubrité que vous voyez dans la vidéo, elle n'est guère un frein aux affaires. Après Nangui Abrogoua, nous emprunterons le Reboul, où nous aurons un aperçu du village Ebrié d'où est tiré le nom d'Adjamé et dont la voie principale qui est actuellement de 2 x 1 voie passera bientôt à 2 x 2 voies, et permettra à terme de relier Cocody via l'indénié à Yopougon via le 4ème pont actuellement en construction. La conséquence directe est que les bâtiments situés en bordure de la voie (de Dallas au carrefour précédent la CNPS ici dans ma vidéo) seront détruits. Bref! après le village, nous nous retrouverons au carrefour de l'Indénié qui lui aussi est en chantier, puis le Lycée Technique d'Abidjan, le Carrefour de la vie, l'école de la Gendarmerie et enfin notre pied-à-terre, L'école de Police.

Welcome everyone. Today our trip will take us from ADJAME RAN to the Police Academy in COCODY in front of the Félix Houphouët Boigny University. Our itinerary therefore begins at the SITARAIL station (Ex RAN), then passes by the famous Boulevard Nangui Abrogoua which is the section on which the most dynamic shopping center in Côte d'Ivoire is concentrated (Krinjabo, Black Market, Petit Lomé , the bus station, Roxy, 3rd arrondissement, Marché Forum, etc ...). The financial flow in this geographic space is daily in Billions of CFA Francs. Don't be fooled by that semblance of unsanitary conditions you see in the video, it's hardly a hindrance to business. After Nangui Abrogoua, we will take the Reboul, where we will have a glimpse of the village Ebrié from which the name of Adjamé is taken and whose main track is currently 2 x 1 lane will soon change to 2 x 2 lanes, and will allow us to connect directly Cocody to Yopougon via the 4th bridge currently under construction. The direct consequence is that the buildings located along the way (from Dallas to the intersection before the CNPS here in my video) will be destroyed. In short ! after the village, we will meet at the crossroads of Indénié which is also under construction, then the Lycée Technique d'Abidjan, the Carrefour de la vie, the Gendarmerie school and finally our terminus for today, the police academy.

The lagoon Ébrié , sometimes called Ahizi lagoon is a lagoon with brackish water located in Ivory Coast . It has an area of approximately 560 km², with a maximum width of 7 km, an average depth of 4.8 m, a maximum depth of 20 m 1 and a length of 130 km (in an east-west direction).
The main tributaries are the Agnéby , the Mé (across the Potou lagoon ) and the Comoé . The lagoon is connected to the Gulf of Guinea by the Vridi canal , built to allow the opening of the port of Abidjan within the waters of the lagoon. To the west, the lagoon is linked to the Bandama and the Grand-Lahou lagoon by the Asagni canal which crosses the Asagni national park . To the east, it is connected with the Ouladine lagoon and the Potou lagoon. The natural connection between the lagoon and the sea at the level of the Comoé estuary was naturally blocked following the boring of the Vridi canal . La lagune Ébrié, parfois appelée lagune Ahizi, est une lagune à eau saumâtre située en Côte d’Ivoire. Elle a une surface d’environ 560 km², avec une largeur maximale de 7 km, une profondeur moyenne de 4,8 m, une profondeur maximale de 20 m1 et une longueur de 130 km (en direction est-ouest).Les affluents principaux sont l’Agnéby, la Mé (à travers la lagune Potou) et la Comoé. La lagune est reliée au golfe de Guinée par le canal de Vridi, construit pour permettre l’ouverture du port d’Abidjan au sein des eaux de la lagune. À l’ouest, la lagune est reliée au Bandama et à la lagune de Grand-Lahou par le canal d’Asagni qui traverse le parc national d’Asagni. À l’est, elle est connectée avec la lagune Ouladine et la lagune Potou. La connexion naturelle entre lagune et mer à niveau de l’estuaire de la Comoé a été colmaté naturellement à la suite du percement du canal de Vridi. De temps en temps la politique discute de rouvrir cette embouchure.
